Ever have one of those DDOdowner Days?

Normally I am a very good player (just ask me). I don't die much, contribute to any group I am in and am even sometimes moderately enjoyable to hang out with. Yesterday however, things were a wee bit different.

Yesterday I spent about 4.5 hours playing and at the end of it I had not actually completed a single quest. It was one of those days where literally everything I did was either stupid or wrong and once I got in the rut it just kept getting deeper and deeper.

I started off by going into the Titan Raid, which I once promised myself I'd never run again. An hour of standing around capped off with hanging on a ladder is not my idea of fun. But the allure of 7 Fingered Gloves and a Chattering Ring pulled me in. Things were off to a great start for the first 30 or so seconds until some moron played with a puzzle that was completed and dropped me into the lava where I promptly died and he failed to say so much as "oops my bad". Being a person with little patience it was a challenge not to ragequit right there but I stuck it out (ok I did begin to ragequit but was talked into re-entering at which time there were no remaining crystals.) I healed myself through the first hallway but died yet again after running out of LOH's in the 2nd. Long story short I got 20 +5 frost bolts.

I then decided to give Edragon a go. First time as solo caster on base 1. Guess who didn't bring disintegrate? FFFFFFFFuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Ok, so life isn't all bad, I ran a chrono, it went smoothly and fast and I recalled after we killed the crapashai. No scrolls but can't get em every time.

Ok, maybe my night is turning around but I'm still grumpy so I think hey lets run a TOD. Not paying any attention due to my bad mood and another group pestering me to merge I fill without a light monk. I stupidly let my trustworthy kiter change to monk and let a guildy drop to grab a kiter I've never seen but someone tells me could kite. Right before entering part 2 I find out know one actually knows if he can or not. Long story short: He can't.

Ok, last chance to salvage this evening so I decide to run another short-manned chrono scroll run with a small group of people I know well who are quite good. Despite calling out 4 times "Acolyte on me" my pals retreat into the alley after spotting an abishai. No problem, healing away with Silver Flame pots but DOH! stunned. DING! Ragequit.

Can't go out like that though. Log back in, hop on my wizzy and head out to Claw. Just learned to solo it so I'm gonna perfect my art. Spotted by the 2nd guardian. Final ragequit of the evening.

When it rains it pours as they say. Yesterday was a real kicker of a thunderstorm.

I was trying to get the chests in ADQ1 epic yesterday and freaking fell off the ledges into the lava about 6 times all told; 3 on my FVS, 2 on my wizard and once on my monk.

I feel you. (well, not literally). Sometimes there are days where you just cant seem to get it together. I recommend after you detect the rut that you step away for a few min, recharge with a few suds, and come at it again.

couldnt get the timming right? most times its taken me have been about 7 or so lol, on part 2. How did you end up wiping though? normally if the groups good we dont wipe in there just keep killing and killing till we get it right.

I don't think it was you. There was something in the water yesterday--I swear. I was in many runs last night with people that play essentially flawlessly--and we had all sorts of trouble.

Under the assumption that you and I are super uber (how can this not be true?), the only explanation is that some unknown DDO power was out to thwart us yesterday. That's what I'll believe.

I'm counting on that being a one day effect.

Now off to get some loots.

Shroud part 2 is one of the worst places to have a bad group. Such an insanely easy thing to do but equally easy to foul up if newer people don't know what to do.

Under the assumption that you and I are super uber (how can this not be true?), the only explanation is that some unknown DDO power was out to thwart us yesterday. That's what I'll believe.

I think the devs caught me on a flag list whe I pulled 4 epic red scales on consecutive runs and added me to the "Roll a 1 every time" list.

you know you got issues if in part 2 you drop 2 bosses on your own and the rest of the raid cant even kill the rest in that time.

People died from lag so Horoth regained full health far too often.
One guy ended up tanking Horoth AND Sully at the same time (though quite well I might add)
Someone even got banished with his boots on.

I think the cupcakes went bad or something...

Oh the other hand though, the opposite also happens. The suckiest start to the day (disaster absolute car-crash pug) oddly puts me in a great mood, or a day that starts off slow ends up really good. Lol. :)

I didn't get into classic rock and such until high school. In fact, I remember exactly how it happened: I was away at USY encampment, and hanging out someone's bunk/bungalo-thingy, when I heard this cool music. I asked my friend what it was, and he was so shocked, he sat me down in a chair and explained to me how great this band was before making me listen to the entire album.

I dont really get down about things in a game. What might be a "bad" raid to some is a hilarious gong show to me. I dont like watching people be purposely rude to eachother but other then that specifically, its pure entertainment one way or another.

Level 8 Rogue in Delera's elite. Not a big deal. It's a twinked out toon. Should be fine, right? First trap in Necro... roll '1' BOOM!

Sigh, OK, Next trap, The cold trap. Lag on the jump. 130 damage, 119 Hit points. "DING!"

Sigh, rezed. Took the res near the box so I wouldnt have to lag though the trap again.

Lucky I was with all guildies that got a chuckle out of it, but 3 rolls of '1' in a row? REALLY?
