Velah buzzing Stormreach

Now I've seen Velah circling the harbor and and the market on quite a few occasions, but today was the first time I saw her in House J. She circled twice, like she does the other two places, but swoops in very low on the second pass.

She looked like she was going to torch the main House Jorasco building and actually flew under the mooring branches atop the airship tower there.

This leads me to ask if she buzzes every city ward?

Yes, she can buzz every zone - and yes, it's random. I've seen her most in the marketplace, swooping in and circling from the airship tower to behind the bank - and then away. But, I've also seen her in House K and the Harbor. Pretty glad to hear she's still flying... I hadn't seen nor heard of it in a long time - and I had thought that maybe with the airships now puttering about that they removed Big Red.

I think I may still have a screenshot of her in House K. If so, I'll post.

It's pretty cool, and defiantly a geek-out moment. :) Teaches ya to look up more often.

It happens very rarely, that I've noticed at least. I'll be standing in the harbor or market and catch a flapping wing in the corner of my screen off in the distance. That's when I'll scan the skyline and see her circling. I've caught it happening about a dozen times each in the market and harbor over a year and a half or so, so I'd say it's a pretty rare event or just rare that I notice.

-Edit: I know I have a screenshot of a market occasion somewhere, will post that later, just wish I'd gotten a shot today, as she swooped quite close to me :p

I worry less about that and more the fact that "dragons go where they want to go."

How are you so certain it is Velah instead of some other red dragon? Isn't Velah confined to the Plane of Night?

Also did you notice a harness on the dragon? My steed is missing.

You can see her in her lady form in the Bogwater Tavern in house p I think. She's talking to the dwarf guy she hoodwinks.That is actually in the Partycrashers quest, in the House P Chapterhouse. That quest is just jam-packed with inside references and gleefully geekout moments. :D

I haven't done Partycrashers before, and I just doublechecked and she is in the Bogwater Tavern with the dwarf. They're both called bar patron. He even says "I won't have any problems getting in -- after all I designed the vault!" They say a random line each time you walk up to them, but tell you to go away if you click on them to talk to them.

Yup, Velah and Barrow Ir'Kundarak are absolutely in the Bogwater Tavern now, however they don't have floating names. They just look like generic patrons until you walk near to listen in on their conversation. If you remember, Velah's humanoid form is described during the quest text for the VoN chain as a "fiery red-haired sorceress".

They went in with the Phiarlan Carnival revamp to House P, I was thrilled when I first saw them.

Best easter egg ever.I know they tweaked the story when they changed the flagging process, but geez. I thought Arach designed the vault's security and betrayed its secrets to Velah.

Haywire does jobs for House Kundarak on a contract basis (see "Made to Order"), but he's not actually affiliated with House Kundarak. Prior to the start of the quest chain, his only involvement with The Vault of Night was "testing" the security system with the rest of the Laughing Knives.

Barrow is a high-ranking official in House Kundarak. I don't remember even the slightest hint that he had anything to do with Velah's infiltration of the vault. He covers the whole affair up from the general public, of course, but this is to hide the fact that things got screwed up on House Kundarak's watch.
