I know what you are thinking, "We've had a thousand threads about Horc attack animation." Well, you'll be pleased to hear that the disturbing Horc animation isn't what I mean. I'm talking proportions here. Seriously, fix the way their appearance. They look like only the top half of Bruce Banner changed into the Hulk. And since you guys brought it up, please fix the Horc attack animations.

Speaking of the attack animation, why is the Horc animation for great axe and maul different from their animation with a great sword?

Personally, I love the way Horcs look. Like giant beefy bodybuilders, just how they should! half-elves, on the other hand...

/signed for the attack animations. I love playing my new lowbie Horc except for this. Personally, I think he looks just fine.

I'm not saying they are too big up top. I'm saying they are too small from the waist down. They are too disproportionate. I would like the lower half made a little bigger to fit the top.

I agree with the OP they look like the hunch back of hulk mansion. Its one thing to look beefy its another thing to look like you have a cancerous tumor on your back. If it was just muscle it would look different instead it looks like you should be locked in a tower for being so ugly.

Well the reason is that they have bulked up, up top and well you know what them roids will do to down below.

Really isnt surprising at all.

/roids...they make the lower bits .... smaller bits.....

I didn't mind Horcs so much till I saw one swim.

IMHO, neither of the Half- races were ready for launch when they were. Horcs could have used at least one more Update in the oven - and Helves a bit longer. They each have a host of issues - starting, but in no way ending, with the way they look and move.

i am actually quite displeased that horcs are actually bigger than actual orcs, but also warforged, which were supposed to be immense for a playable race... i can only assume it is to make them cool? and their weapons scale is far more lopsided than that of other races, a wf should not have a khopesh half the size of a horc's khopesh, its a metal man for heaven's sake. My elf is stuck with his tiny khopeshes though :P... its like instead of horcs they are actually genetically altered super orcs or something.

You mean specifically in the crotch area?

Oddly enough: the Uruk Hai (Tolkien's half orcs) were altered super orcs (mixed man and orc).

The DDO Devs took a short cut when designing the half-orcs. Instead of creating a new player character model and animations they reused the dwarf model scaled up with some adjustment to slim the waist line and kept the animations. All your haven't notice horcs run like dwarf.

Scaled up Dwarf to the left, horc to the right.

And if you are reading this (you know who you are), I only created a dwarf to make a side by side comparison.

Uhhhhhhh..... no. lol

I meant waist, legs and all.

Stille, I agree completely with your WF comment. I have said the same thing many times. All of the books I have read that included WF wsaid the same thing. Massive beings of massive strength.

Lorz, ROFL!

Bladedge, good eye on the Dorf thing. Now, what's up with the funky left feet? Is it a brother/sister reproduction thing?

They should have used the hobgoblin models for scale and basic appearance. Or just called them what the actually look like and given us Half-Ogres.
