extend on hireling wizards ?

i use wizard hirelings as hastebots atm to level up some lowbies, unfortunately i fail to activate the "extend" feat even if they got it when i check the compendium. is there any hidden way to activate extend or is it just bugged/not implemented/nerfed ?

Hirelings buffs are not extended (no extend), they cast horribly slow and lose spells if underattack (no quicken, no conc), em offensive spells are totally uneffective (no maxximize, no empower, no highten, no enanchements on spells lines), they are really squishy (no tougness and no points on con)... hire just got endless mana, how are em builds? 7 mental toughness? (wasn't just 2 max?)-

I would be curious too see hirelings builds ^^
