Seems i managed to wear down the 3D engine on my geforce GT320M Graphcard in my 5 month old Asus K70ID laptop. This seriously sucks. And it did get the cooling it needed.

Lets see how RL is these days

If you like to read, there are Eberron based novels. :D Plus I have been reading the alternative history fiction of Harry Turteldove. I am almost done with the Atlantis series.

Cant really recommend the Eberron novels as I havent found a truly good one, as To Harry Turteldove I cant recommend him more I just wish he would write either some more misplaced legion or world in the balance novels havent read the atlantis series but it is on my list.

I haven't read that series but I have read the entire Darkness series, World at war/Colonization, and the American empire/Settling accounts and they all rock, how is the Atlantis one?

Dang, I guess no graphics card can handle all the butt-whooping you lay down in game. :(

Try piking a bit more and see if that make your hardware last a little longer.

See you in a bit. :)

Give me a report of what it's like in the real-lifes.
Do we still have trees and animals left out there? O.O

The graphics are good, but the level progression is kinda slow. I also don't quite seem to have a good grasp on the special abilities yet.
Hope ya get your problems fixed soon. :)

lol, why do so few people who play DDO seem to like Eberron? I love the setting, more than the Forgotten Realms.

Whats more, why do so many people on this forum seem to dislike what I like to read? :p

Its interesting. Its the first series by him I have read. I intended to start with the order 191 series, but hey... Basically its the American colonization, French-Indian war, and the Civil War.

Yup, at least r/l if f2p too. Though just like ddo, to get a lot of the good content, you're probably gonna have to shell out some cash.

Denmark's a prison :)

Question is : Is those bars for keeping us in or them out ?

Ranmaru2

You would think it's for working both ways. That is until nice pirates come along and return royalty back into the country knowing who is their prisoner, but by the mention of owning an AK, I'd think it's for keeping you in the place, especially if you're all running around hunting beavers whilst reciting:

"I am but mad north-north-west: when the wind is
southerly I know a hawk from a handsaw."

:D

Because it's kind of a lame setting, to be honest. I agree with you, though, that I like it as a game setting more than Forgotten Realms.

Because there's less to talk about in this setting versus the forgotten realms, as there's only the lore of eberron and not a whole lot of absolutely established set of heroes like with Salvatore's Drizzt and such. Also, probably because the argument about the Gods reaches too close to home with how we constantly debate about Gods here.

Managed to get a machine from computerstore, while they have a look on my own. Seems they are sending it to Sweden to look for whats wrong.
Interesting to hear what they decided : A new one, money back or repair ??

(in case of repair i will check for Surströmning when getting it back)

Anyway im back and avoids the horrors of IRL and Outside. Maybe the local beavers might appreciate it.

Been sitting at level 20 Commoner for quite a while now, but I can't seem to get that True Heart of Wood for my planned TR into Action Hero no matter how much I grind. Can't find it in the store, either.

RL is F2P huh? Tell that to my landlord, the utility company, the telephone company, my bank, the grocery store, the gas station, etc. etc...

As I said, to get the good content you usually need to shell out some cash. If you want to go out to some of the open areas and grind to make your own bow and arrow and then grind hunting for food, and so on, you can do without spending money, but that's too much work for most. Its easier to just grind 'cash' (as the in game money is called) and use it for what you want. On the plus side, the older players are supportive -- for the years where your toon is still a child, and learning the game, you can generally get at least one older player to sponsor you and take care of many/most of your purchases with their cash rather then having to grind your own.

Actually it is.

We're just passing around promisory notes about our suspended belief of non-existent money. We have little paper notes and metal coins, but considering there would need to be a recovery of $38 trillion before money is worth something, we're just living in a giant theocracy where money has replaced God :)

You should ask your landlord if he actually has a physical representation of the money you pass him or from the other people he rents out to other than a bank statement that says he has $X,XXX amount in his account.

1. The shopping malls are the cathedrals of today. Consuming is worshipping.

2. Money is accumulated time / freedom to do something else than fulfilling basic needs.
