I'd like to start by stating that yes, I do know that you can only have one PrE per class. I was wondering specifically whether it is possible to roll an Elven Ranger that takes elven arcane archer and ranger deepwood sniper, so that you have two PrEs to make a sneaky, (reasonably) high DPS build that can take things out quickly from ridiculously far away.
I mostly want to know if this is possible. If you are going to post what a **** idea this is, at least also post the reasons why and the numbers to support them.

no the elven AA while being a PrE of elves does count as a ranger PrE

:( Oh well. I was hoping that I could do either that or tempest so that it would have more melee, but seems a moot point now.

Just take Elf AA as a pure rogue or fighter or something. Pretty sure that's why it was added. Having never made an AA I'm not sure if it works that way though. Can a pure fighter take Kensei and AA? If so, how would that work out? Kinda sounds like it could be a masterful way to min/max a ranged character. Any thoughts from the build masters (and mistresses ;) )?

elven AA and kensai IS possible

(keep in mind that the elven AA enhancement is delayed a few lvl's compared to PrE's you get from classes)

more like a LOT of other name any non-ranger PrE and you can combine it with an elven AA :P (ofc there be the issue with prereq feats needed so if you want a ranged char with some melee too you will NEED to be either ranger (as they get free melee feats) or fighter (they just get too many feats in general :P) any other class simply wont be able to fit in melee feats as well as ranged feats

Keep in mind to be able to use your imbues as an elf AA, you will have to have levels in a class with a mana bar. 6 ranger and the rest being whatever can work since you'll get bow strength, manyshot, rapid shot, and TWF/ITWF free, as well as 2 Favored enemies and 2 ranger lvl 1 spells. Just 1 level in a caster class(divine or arcane) will also allow use of AA powers. Haven't tried to build a pally AA so I don't know how well THAT would work, but paladins do get bluebar as well so it is possible.

So PURE fighter, rogue, monk, or barbarian Elf AA is not possible. Fighter/rogue/barb/monk with bluebar multiclass Elf AA are.

According to DDOWiki it looks like Mental Toughness is a 'Requires one of' for AA. It wouldn't allow much swapping between Imbues, but that would meet the SP requirement, though, wouldn't it? Correct me if I am wrong, since I've never taken MT on a pure melee, though! ;) I kinda want to do this now just to see how it does! I realize that AA will function better with ranger or a caster class, but this makes me wonder about the possibilities!
