Its a few days old and its not much info but its more than what we currently know.
Turbine bringing DDO: Unlimited to Europe in 2011 (http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/02/09/turbine-bringing-ddo-unlimited-to-europe-in-2011/)
Turbine will be bringing DDO: Unlimited to the European audience in 2011, supporting French and German languages as well as English. Beta testing will begin in March.
Does that mean we have to wait till March for Update 9 on Lamannia??? Curse you PAX East!

actually, it isn't more info than we already know. for example, we know that elemental savants are supposed to be part of U9. we know that an assortment of other prestige enhancements (all of the favored soul ones, tier II rogue ones that aren't done yet come to mind off the top of my head) are not going to be in U9.
and, we actually know those things apply to U9, whereas that announcement about alternate languages for DDO is something we have absolutely no clue whether it applies to U9 at all.
we may not know much about U9, but at least let's stick with what we know, rather than just speculating wildly.

I interpreted this to mean that Turbine may be opening their own managed data center in Europe. If so I'd say it has nothing to do with U9.

... the article promised a preview of forthcoming content, which has now been posted, and as I expected, it's a preview of the Smuggler's Rest Birthday Event and nothing at alll concerning update 9. :)

From how I read it.
Turbine is not opening new servers in Europe. Instead Turbine plans to release a DDO client or update the current client with French and German languages with testing of the clients beginning in March.
