I dont know about everyone else but sometimes when I go from playing my ranger to playing my bard I often die a few times needlessly to traps. :(, untill I get the hand of being more careful.

I don't know. My Paladin is an evasion-splash, but I'm more used to running my melee FVS and casting Cleric, both of which tend to get torn apart by traps if I'm careless. So I generally don't have a problem going back and forth; more an issue without having an effective sustainable healing or group damaging ability.

My main is a capped Exploiter. All my alts are thus far non evasion toons. Yes, it makes me lazy until I get popped. Like a bucket of cold water to wake you up...

No, at least not with traps.
If I stand in a trap it is on purpose. I.e. to get the mobs to take trap damage.

In my case no because playing about 12 toons on a pretty regular basis means that the chances I am playing one which has Evasion is only about 1 in 6. With odds like that, it behooves me to treat the toon I am playing as if he did not have Evasion. I make it a practice to treat all traps on any difficulty above Normal as an opportunity for me to die horribly and painfully.

My problem comes from thinking I can clear any trap that I come across, no matter the difficulty, character or size of the trap.
I often land short and get munched on certain toons. Shiz happens!

I play by the golden rule that everyone can roll a 1.

God yes. My Monk is my main and it makes me extremely lazy, especially with improved evasion. Then I switch to my FvS and forget, all the **** time. >.<

The rogues learn evasion from their dangerous lifestyle, and monks spend years in training.
But from the way all the noob zergers play their rangers you'd think they learn their evasion by dodging the trees.

I used to miss evasion, now I seldom notice it anymore. I wouldnt spend any effort to plan for it on a future build.

I would really, really like to say "No, running around as a Monk doesn't affect how I play my other characters, and certainly doesn't get me killed!", but that would be a horrible lie. Evasion, especially on any character that has good saves, makes such a difference. Though honestly? It's not the lack of Evasion that lands me in traps. It's lacking Evasion, and Spot, so I don't see them coming...
It's funny, the one character who could just walk into the traps, doesn't. Thankfully, I usually remember where they are, and stop as everyone else in the party walks into them. Usually. The rest of the time, well... That kid of thing happens, right?:D

Well, no.
My only char with Evasion and good enough Reflex to be spoilt by it is a lvl 12 Rogue I seldom use anymore.
What made me lazy was playing the WF Rog/Wiz; that guy ends up being tougher than some of my other chars.
Takes time re-adjusting to chars who can't blur/stoneskin/repair more or less at will.

My main toon is a Rogue. Even so, I get so overconfident at being able to clear the way of traps for my party that at harder quests I sometimes get overconfident walking through them and die, making a horrible time for party-mates. It makes me feel so, so guilty. Many many effusive "Sorry"'s later, they save my butt and res me. Usually by some Dwarf with a Rogue-splash risking life and (short) limb to drag me to a Res shrine. So lesson learned: be brave about traps, but don't get overconfident.

Not as much as the removal of the xp penalty...

3 out of 5 of my seriously played toons have evasion.
My cleric and wizard probably feel unloved with the way I treat them. I'm just waiting for the day when I log on and find them on strike for better working conditions.
