You forgot to mention these bonuses also stack with the store items - so if you spent some cash you could have a 30% 30% +2 weekend :)

Ah - see I was under the assumption they were doing something special this weekend anyway for the anniversary.

That being said I've been waiting to have 50 bucks to toss at some extra points for a while - now that I have it tucked away I've been waiting for another sale - which would go nicely with a bonus weekend ;)

one minor issue with this statement. February is no longer the observed anniversary from anything I have seen from Turbine. Now the holy day is whenever unlimited came out. :(

Was hopeing for a 50% boost this sunday.. to help make up for the 0% we got last sunday.. Plus its Superbowl sunday anyway.. Probably be a pretty low turnout for the day.

Well combine that with the xp boost and it's not a bad weekend (xp boost is 20% off).

Gonna have to play really late Fri & Sat to make up for lost time at the Super Bowl party.

Overall 10% xp bonus is not anything to get excited about, yes it helps, but this is not anything that's gonna make me want to log in extra time this weekend compared to any other weekend. If it was 25-50% bonus xp, you would see me on all weekend and buying store pots to add to it and maybe planning a true reincarnation around it. I think its a sorry excuse for the unexplained downtime or as any sort of anniversary gift.

My wish, every once in awhile (2 times a year minimum), announce at least one week in advance a 50% xp bonus weekend.

I also yearn for the days of the anniversary gift. It made me sad to log onto a character from a server I never play on and see an uneaten birthday cake on a toon that is from launch...ahhh the days when those were cherished and coveted. Please, please, please, give me a piece of cake

If you do the math...

Servers were down for 6+ hours on Sunday..

If you were to play every second from when the bonus goes live, and when it is taken down you would still not compensate for the 6+ hours lost on Sunday.. (assuming you were to grind exp those entire 6 hours the server was down) and realistically no one is going to play for 2 days straight.

Yeah, its not amazing, 20% would have been more reasonable, but at least we get something instead of another sale (we got that too, but we got something free as well, which is nice).

Maybe it was just me but I did not notice any boost to guild renown this past weekend. There reason I was saying this is because killing trash netted me base 5 + the small guild bonus when in the past if there was a renown boost I would get base 6. Not a big deal to me but I just thought I would mention it.
