View Full Version : DeepWood Sniper whats the point.

What is is the point of deepwood sniper, aracne archer beets it hands down. The only way it could be of use if you splash with rouge, but then ranger doesn't stack with cross bow and a mechnic rouge can do damge with a repeater. I have a level 11 deepwood sniper on another server and it is terrible. The aracnes are pretty much running circles around me.

Deepwoods Sniper is unfinished. Arcane Archer and Tempest have all of their tiers.

Deepwoods Sniper had been put on a backburner for some time now...

u could use deepwood sniper if you wanted 6 lvls or more human kensi fighter/monk or something. dunno what you mean about a splash of rogue to use deepwood sniper...

elven arcane archer is only available to elves and halfelves :) and you dont get slayer arrows till lvl 20. if you're just building the toon to tr then deepwood is clearly the way to go here since no other imbue but the slayer arrow is even worth ****ing on.

Well as long as they don't cook it too long, and make the Sniper even squishier , or burn it (because of setting too long on the backburner)

We've got the Elemental Savants in Update 9, a couple of minor tweaks to a few others, and the next ones on the list I plan on after that are the Divine Avenger, Deepwood Sniper II, and Ninja Spy III.

i think the ddo deepwood sniper will link with the feat Precision (and probably enhancements on fort bypass to make it more worth taking)

but in order to compete with AA for the 500 dmg slaying arrows, deepwood snipers probably need exaggerating bonus to critical threat range and multipliers (+6/+3 to normal at least i presume?)

I tried that.

It's terrible with repeaters too - the deepwood sniper 10 second cooldown thing only applies to the first bolt. :(

where druids at some point comming very soon? I wouldnt hold my breath on the deepwood sniper.

so maybe update 10 ?
I could wait that long, the one toon I was going to go DS with maybe ready for a DS II ,by the time Update 10 arrives , the only thing that would hurt would be if they added feat requirements he did not take.
