View Full Version : Build help with 13rogue/6fighter/1ranger

Main and only real toon right now. Going to GR him to a 32 pt build and this is what class combo I can come up with that works right now. Assy2/Ken1 for enhancements, however I'm having trouble picking feats for 12 and 18, any ideas/suggestions. I have GS rapiers and will be using those when I TR in the future at some later date so not going to pick up khops. I still have 2 pts left over to put into stats, just not sure where yet. Was thinking CHA and taking Force of Personality for the will saves *shrugs* any thoughtful help is welcome :)

The question is: is it really worth loosing 8d6 on SA damage for kensei? What do you gain from going fighter?

You might consider Acrobat instead of Assassin.. dunno. but one thing that caught me was a missing feat:

Level 12 (Fighter)
Ability Raise: STR
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Improved Critical: Piercing Weapons

You should have a lvl 12 feat listed there, missing it.

I'm GR'ing to 13/6/1 so giving up all my fighter lvls right now isnt an option and I would rather not farm cash to buy lots of LR hearts, and I like this build.

and yes I know I'm missing feats at 12 and 18, looking for some ideas on what to take at those spots.

Yes, and the level 18 feat is missing too. This is why the OP posted the build here.



An invonvenient this may be, imho one of the better options on a Str-based rogue if you have the feats, is Khopesh. It simply deals more damage.

FoP is an option, netting basically +2-3 Will save.
I'd rather put the point in Str, and take Skill Focus UMD.*Edit: Totally missed this, sorry.

How fixed are you in the level progression? A different one might yield some more skill points. But If you are going use a +0-1 Greater Heart, this consideration has not much use.

I have UMD at lvl 1, and have GS rapiers made up so no khops. Will the small increase in will saves be worth the feat? or since they are so low anyways does it matter?

why not take ranger at level 2? it'll give you TWF for free. you could take the improved feint line and quickdraw or sap.

Only a second level of ranger will add the TWF feat. There is not much room to squeeze in another ranger level. Free feats is, obviously, not an issue with this build.

Have you considered intimidate as a class skill? Since you have fighter levels, you might want to be able to switch into turtle-intimimode from time to time.
You can also use feats to enhance this path, i.e. SF: Intimidate and/or Shield Mastery and Improved Shield Mastery.
