I'm currently working on a lvl 7 Sorcerer, and this is the farthest I've ever gotten a character. Is there any advice the veterans of Stormreach can give to a first capper. And believe me, I intend to cap this thing.

Well, I am by no means a veteran, but let me welcome you! We're very pleased to have you in our community. I hope you're having a blast with your character. One piece of advice I can offer - be patient. There is a great deal of detail to this game, and it can seem overwhelming at times. Just remember that you are not alone in this. Come to the forums, as you've done, and ask when you have questions. There are a ton of good people around who will be more than willing to help you out.
(Also, if you're like me and tend to screw up your feats, stock up on Siberys Dragonshards. Word to the wise.)
Best of luck to you!

If you started with 14 Con, then good, no complaints/advice there.
Save your money, If you're on Argo or Khyber I have tons of twink Items I can give away to help ya out :) If you're not on those 2 servers I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help out.
Don't EVER! (Yes I mean it) let anyone tell you how to play your toon. A Pure sorc isn't too hard. If you plan On multiclassing though, at least take a look through the multiclass forums and ask for a little advice. It's easy to mess up a toon.
And that's pretty much all I have for you. Oh! and always remember this is a game, so enjoy it :)

best advise I can give to anyone.....
CON IS NOT A DUMP STAT!
14 is lowest your'd want to be as someone else has mentioned. it is possible to get by with 12, but you need to know what your doing else your gonna spend a lot of time as a stone ;)
otherwise check out the sorc forum for sorc ideas.
as for spells - make sure you have haste and firewall. those two are pretty much must have spells. kep haste up as much as possible as that single spell adds more dps than anything else in a group of melees. not to mention it helps keep you alive a lot longer to :)
and related to those two spells - the extend spell feat. making haste last a long time is a good thing. as is having that firewall burning longer for less sp's overall.

I happen to be on khyber, and I am not opposed to a twink character in any way. Help would be much appreciated. Name is Aracada.

Try and get your Spell Penetration up somewhere along the line, just my op tho but at end game some things are difficult to pk/fod/wail
You can do this by taking the spell sphere focus for the specific school / spell type.. illusion/necromancy etcetc
or the Spell Pen feat.

Spend some time reading through the Sorcerer forum. There can be some good advice and tips there.
Tell people you are new. Many people are glad to help out new people and they won't wonder why you don't know exactly what to do in a quest that they may have repeated dozens of times on different characters.
If you don't mind some spoilers get familiar with quests your level with http://ddowiki.com/ . At a minimum you can use it to figure out where they are or who gives the quest if you don't want to start each group with "share pls".
Browse the guild forum for your server and try to find one that lines up with the way you like to play. The guild can be a great resource for general questions that you have while playing.
Understand there are some jerks in this game like any other game. Learn to ingore them and not let them ruin your game experience. Also remember that for every jerk, there are also a number of helpful friendly people that will help make the game fun.
