When you swing a weapon, you do one attack, when twf with/without the twf feats you have a % chance to procure an offhand attack - it is not shown via your avatars animations, it just has another set of damage numbers (or a miss) straight under the damage from your physical swing, if you get the proc.

Its a bit different to pnp with the attacks per round.

Also (redundant data), the old twf feats had a set number of attacks per sequence of attack animations that were based on level (similar to pnp). Now it is just a % chance.

If you are s&b or otherwise using a single weapon - when you swing it, you are attacking, that's it

http://ddowiki.com/page/Rogue

The ddowiki page for rogues has a base attack bonus table, that also tells you how many attacks you get at each level.

At level 9 it shows +6/+6/+11/+16 which indicates 4 attacks. That is if using 1 weapon. If you dual wield with no feats, each main hand attack will have a 20% chance of including an off hand attack.

With two-weapon fighting feat that goes up to 40%. Improved-two weapon makes it 60% and greater-two weapon fighting makes it 80%. The ranger tempest enhancement line can bring it up to 100% for 8 attacks per round.

There's also the doublestrike chance that can double up your main hand attack to further increase your attacks per round. And both of those doublestrike attacks can gets it's own roll for a coincidental offhand attack.

Basically, each click makes an attack with a corresponding attack roll[1]. Multiple clicks in series (or holding the button down) will give you attack animations in a set sequence, with one attack and roll per animation The attack bonus of each attack is set by the progress in the sequence, .i.e. which animation is used. The sequence restarts when you reach the end or if you move. If you're attacking while moving you'll get only two animations in the sequence, and thus only the first two attack bonuses in the sequence, and get the rest of the attacks/animations in the sequence once you stop moving. The closest thing to a "round" here is one trip through the whole attack/animation sequence, which would be four animations for you, each with an attack roll showing in the log and the last two having an attack bonus of +5 and +10 over the first two.

[1] There are possibilities of each click/attack generating second attacks and attack rolls, but we're just looking at the base mechanism here. :)
