This may have already been discussed but...
Are Horc animations messed up? Or is it just me? I get my forth attack when my horc is standing still holding his weapon. And the other attacks dont seem to quite match the landing of the weapon.
Are there plans to fix this?
It makes it real annoying to play.
Also, it seems that the expedious retreat isn't quite working right. I seemed like there were times when my horc would speed up, slow down and then speed up again. Anyone else experience this?

My gf rerolled her Horc into a Dwarf because of this issue. She is having much more fun now.
I refuse to roll a Horc myself...

Falchion(2d4) +71 damage bonus(lvl17) = 190+ crits with vendor trash, 3 times as often as a GA.

Try swinging your weapon once when that happens . . . usually fixes my horc when his runspeed gets wonky.

I see both these issues...
Sprint Boost on my HOrc barbarian doesn't seem as fast as on my halfling ranger either.
It IS annoying...

If I may allow myself some negativity here, what is annoying is how devs rushed horcs and helves out to meet convention deadlines.
I know - that's the mantra of industry today: release today, fix tomorrow.
And it's either that, or fewer updates every year.
...
I am not too happy about it, though.

I have seen the worst animation on a greataxe HOrc. The damage doesn't mesh with the swings at all. My falshon..faltion..falsi..what ever, the big scimitar works fine I think

Yes, there was a dev post about this a while ago, it will be fixed in a future update. The good news is the damage output is still there even if animations are messed up.

which seems faster? 70 mph in a truck, or 70 mph in a go-cart?
even toggling your helm on and off makes the camera go up and down. just think what the difference between a horc and halfling is, its gonna screw with your perception of speed
besides, its also punishment for playing the best race, then taking a inferior race like the ungainly tall horcs :P

Greataxe animation on Horc is absolutely horrible at the moment.
I can see how the devs thought it looked cool on video, but when actually playing it doesn't feel cool, it feels broken.

How is this relevant to the issues that the OP outlined?
And the sword animations aren't seamless either, for that matter.
The devs rushed the HO and HE leaving screwed up run speeds and attack animation for the HO and a desperately weird uncanny valley for the HE. Hope they fix these soon.

The only thing that is really *wrong* with HO is the botched Great axe animation.
When I told the OP to use a sword, I was saying so because the OP and the 2nd poster stated that they would not use HO because of the animation problem with great axes.
Where as, swords (falchion/greatsword) have the the same if not more potential for damage.
Sooooooo...

They rush content some what too fast for their own good causing them to have to backtrack to a lot of bugs that should have been thing of the past upon release, not only then caught.
