I've Lesser Reincarnated a number of times, and while I appreciate the idea of being able to revamp the appearance of my character, I hate having a random appearance for a start, instead of the one the character previously had.

I'm forced into taking screenshots and the like to try to keep him with the same eyes, nose, eyebrows... And for things like hair or skin color, it's almost impossible unless you wrote them down at character creation. I understand that custom hair style and color are gone, but why everything? It might be explainable for a Greater Reincarnation where you can even switch to another race, but certainly not for a lesser one.

Could it be possible to have the old character appearance in the character generation step as default when reincarnating, instead of a purely random one?

Just my 0.02 cents.

...Well, a lot of the Hair/Nose/Eyes/Lips/etc. stuff is actually numbered for your convenience, though I don't think all of it is proliferated across various races. But if you TR into the same race often enough, remembering which number those are could help alleviate some of the problem. Remembering about where each color band is also helps significantly.

I haven't TR'd yet, but I do make and remake characters often enough that I generally tend to memorize what number for various features (eyes and lips, mainly) I usually tend to gravitate towards on X or Y race to make finding them again if I end up back in the creator five minutes later that much easier.

Not exactly a 'fix' to your particular problem, but a workaround that could be helpful.

1. You can't be sure when creating a character that you'll reincarnate him at a point in time
2. You may lose those settings / screenshots / whatever over time.
3. Imagine a new player discovering the game, playing a carefully designed "avatar" until level 8-9 or so and realizing his hero is completely off-beat regarding attributes, skills, etc. and wanting to lesser reincarnate... And then having to start all over again the appearance step, because he didn't know about this oddity.

Of course, you can avoid much hassle with a bit of planning - once you know it. But the point here is a matter of convenience.
