Hopefully this will be an easy one.
What, in your opine, is the minimum number of party members (and make up) you need to complete the raids, including Hirelings? Stuff like pulling levers, required traps, locks etc....
VoN
Demon Queen
Titan
ToD
Ascension
Hound
Point being, I've never been in ToD or Ascension, and since every AC group lfm i see says know a puzzle or prove to me you can do a puzzle or something, i'd like to try it out without any pressure. Same for ToD. I've been in Hound like twice, and always as a bard running round picking up stones from dead mindflayers. So no knowledge there. Titan once, and it was a snooze fest. I just stayed in a corner with 10 other people. Every now and then we'd move corners, en masse, like some Python skit.
The wife doesn't like raids much (various reasons, mostly due to too many people and not speaking/understanding english well and feeling pressure to perform), and I'd like to take her into stuff like VoN and Titan.
TIA

Demon Queen can and has been soloed fairly often. I often run it with only 2 or 3 other people just because the groups never fill for non-Epic. (Self-sufficient arcanes and divines can complete with no melee help if it comes down to it)
As for the others, more experienced people can fill you in.

Thanks.
And characters running it are a monk and fighter/ranger, if that helps/hurts

You can't use hirelings in raids.
You need a minimum of 6 people to do VoN: two with some (22 maybe?) Wisdom and two with some (25 maybe?) Strength, then any two to use ranged weapons on targets. It will be enormously helpful for at least one of these characters to be someone who can disable traps.

Just run them without knowing them, pretend you do.

If you want to talk about raid make-up parties, don't forget the rouge :D

The part about 6 people is incorrect, you can actually have just 4 people open the doors. You can have either the WIS or STR users hold a throwing weapon and can hit the lever right after you use the other and have the doors open. After the doors are open you send one of the guys from the right to the left side.
VoN 5 can be done with just 4 people, even VoN 6 can be possibly solo-ed/duo-ed with the right toons and gear.

oops, forgot about no hirelings in raids. Damit.
4 people in VoN. got it. I can always hit the str/wis part then shoot the lever. Not sure why this is always a big deal when i go in there. Click the rune to gain focus, vis-target the range lever, press u and shoot. Or press run, back up and shoot. Should be a 2 second delay b4 shooting the lever anyway.
Honestly, now that i think about it, i've always gone right side in VoN. Hmmm...odd.
How about the others?
Oh, and broc...awesome

I feel like the lever's response time would make it unnecessarily annoying to short-man the door, but if people have done it then it is clearly possible.

Don't you need 5 peeps for the flame jet jump thingie close to the end; four pulling the levers and one jumping up?

VoN:
It used to be possible to open the doors with just 2 people.
For the flame jet, it might be possible to do bottom levers with just 2, but I'm not sure.
So 5 is probably safer.
DQ: 1
Titan: not sure now. It used to be soloable, but I think they made some changes in the Forge. The big question is whether you absolutely need to solve the red water puzzle now. If yes it may mean you'd need 6 people in here.
ToD: Been soloed recently I think, so 1.
Abbott: Used to be minimum 6 people to actually see the puzzles. Not sure if it's been changed.
Hound: Been soloed.

The OP doesn't mention Vision of Destruction, but that's another. It's been soloed, but I think not that often. General roles are melee, healing one person for traps, someone to cast Protection from Fire, and a caster at the end who can throw up persistant AOE spells to kill the bats. It's not that complicated though and I haven't noticed a lot of angst or pressure in groups running it, so you may want to consider pugging it. If your wife plays either a monk or fighter/ranger, the only expectation will be to kill things quick. If not, the major concern is healing and/or some way to mitigate damage, since it's mostly a slugfest.
ToD: Been soloed recently I think, so 1.
Really? Impressive achievement, was it posted on the forums?

Tihocan and Mercureal - Thanks, that's exactly what i needed to know. Thanks all for the replies and info.
I didn't mention VoD, cause i've been there many a times as a bard and monk. Tanking Sully(?). Yeah, pass.
