Any1 been having added difficulty with the puzzle since the changes to help the colour blind players be able to solve it? Not sure if its bad luck or bad solver or combination or both, but keep running into problems solving puzzle lately. If you've been running into trouble recently please post here!

Same here. I'm not color-blind, but since they "dulled" all the colors, they've become harder for non-color-blind people to see.

This is the best solver to use because it not only has the colors, but it also has the numbers to set it on (since the skulls now have dots 1-6) :) Enjoy and hopefully this helps with your Reaver's!

Nope. No problems here. But, then again, I actually solve the puzzle instead of relying on a solver to do the work for me. ;)

Didn't someone post a thread somewhere stating that if you're having trouble making out the colours, try turning on "Post-Glow Effects" or something?

I don't know why everyone keep saying that. It looks fine to me.

Sure the yellow and orange are a little close, but it's not hard to tell them apart.

The only problems i have had have been when people try and use a solver.
Solving the puzzle is easy.
On the first two skull, turn each to one color (ie Blue Blue).
Using just the first two skull run down the color until you have 4 orbs.
Put all 4 in and hope that you solve it, if not look and see what you have.
4 white, all are right but just swich the first two with each other and the last two with each other.
2 White 2 Black. Unless you know for sure which set is off, guess and flip first two or last two. you will either get 4 blacks or 4 white.
This will solve in 6-8 moves depending on combo and is fast.
Also, when you are only using first two to check, you will get less Elemental spawns.

So stop using the colors and use the numbers

This. It should be doubly clear now that there are colors *and* numbers identifying the selection.

If you're using a solver and having trouble with colors, try using one that has numbers too.

With practice, it's faster to solve without a solving aid. Doing it this way makes it easier to keep track of what's where too. I do agree that it helps to think of them in terms of numbers instead of colors since the change to pastels.

What determines the number of air elementals that spawn? Is it simply one for each black or white orb on that guess?

The only problems I had was remembering red and yellow. That was because I had already memorized what color was what turn number. You do it that often, you start to remember things.

White deff spawns, and black either augments the # of spawns or does nothing.

Doesn't help if you can't tell the colours appart anymore - and at some angles, expecially if people put up clouds/dancing balls/etc, I can't tell anymore.

Here, go practice the puzzle.... after 5 minutes on this I can do the puzzle in 4-7 moves every time and less than 30 seconds.

This is my problem as well. When trying to solve it legitimately, I need to be able to look up and see what was done before. In order to see, I have to waste a lot of time moving around to get an angle that the dots don't blur together and attempt to tell the colours apart.

Also, the white dots in the solution panel is far less bright and hard to see when there is a dancing sphere or firewall obscuring your vision.

I could never tell the colors apart because I am colorblind. Even before the fix to make it colorblind user friendly and I could easily solve it back then as well. Counting helps a lot. ;)

Yeah it drives me nuts. Learn how to solve it it ain't hard. Using a solver in there is like using a solver for the 4x4s in shroud.

actually the puzzle is easier for me now.

i use the solver, and now theres no question about how many turns i need to get the color i want. also, people cant mess up my view of the numbers as much as they did with the colors. orien pugs like to cast things dance orb and acid fog in front of the puzzle spinners. i can read the dots still with those

Heck, even back before the change with so many effects going off I had a hard time telling the color.

Nope. Still easy as goblin pie..

Seriously..this puzzle is like 3 years old now.

This. And actually knowing what order the colors are in.

Blue Green Orange Pink Red Yellow

Having the numbers on them actually makes it easier, IMO, as you now have two points of reference.
