if you see shaolaolint, shaolo, melowdie, nicodemuss or a host of others, mostly sounding like those names they are my mains and they are under the control of a hacker, and turbine has yet to respond to my multiple contacts to fix this.

I was sitting in abbot and I got booted out. Message says I logged into Sarlona. I tried to relog. Password was wrong? Friend in vent says I'm logged on. My wife sends party invite to hacker. He accepts and keeps saying 5 mins aft. I try to contact GMs via second account. No help. I do the thing on support and it says 3-5 days. I can't log in. GMs were unhelpful. I probably have no gear if no toons. I'm ****ed and turbine doesn't seem to have any real process for this. After a year if playing, if this doesn't get resolved soon I may have to walk away from this game__________________

finally found a way to post. they have changed it so i can't access the forums thru my main, i tried a free account to write here, but of course it seems f2p cant post ANYWHERE. so, i had this premium acct so i can respond.
The hackers had me booted out last night because it said i logged onto sarlona. then when i tried to relog, i couldnt, because hackers had changed password. they also seemed to have changed my email, because i dont get a response for the "forgot your password" this is now true for both game and forums.
I have spent the day emailling turbine. i've spent the day calling turbine and leaving messages.
This is ridiculous, almost 24 hours now i am LOCKED out from a service i pay REAL MONEY for. The GMS ingame, when i logged in under my premium acct, wrote off tickets w/ no response. after like the 5th one they said "sorry charley" and said to go to website. website is not very clear, took me thru all types of spins and turns, finally found the page to "contact" turbine. which all i get is a robotic response.
This is absolutely terrible customer service. absolutely terrible protocol. and it'd be fine if i was a f2p, but i have paid money for over a year and a half, and this is how i get treated?

That is what I would like to know. I have been playing for awhile now, and there was this thing called the OFFER wall where Turbine gave away people's account names to anonymous websites. Did you participate in this event?
If they play on Sarlona, did you play on Sarlona MOSTLY? Or did you start on another server, Cannith, and play there mostly.
Have you downloaded something recently that put a GHOST on your machine to get your password? And if true, would you admit it?
Did you give your account and password to a "friend" who might have then turned loose the information?
Are you still paying for the account? If you are paying for the account then you definitely have a way to win the account back.
I do not play on Sarlona. I might have a character there that I took to 100 favor, but I don't play there.
Are you telling me that these characters that are on Cannith are not under your control?

I can say I have NEVER played with any of these characters on any of my characters.
If you don't mind, send me a PM on which characters are the good guys on Cannith and which ones are the bad guys on Cannith.
If your payment was from a credit card, and you are not receiving services you paid for, you could probably have your cc company pull back the last 30-60 days worth of charges.
It's probably not Turbine's fault your acct got hacked, and look at it from their perspective, you could be someone trying to "social engineer" hack an account.
I would keep an eye on the AH and see if any of the same type of transferrable items you have on your chars has an auction listing, and take that up with Turbine. Most good stuff is bound nowadays, so hopefully your best stuff is still there.
This happened to a buddy o' mines acct way back in diablo 2, and they cleaned him out, and deleted his chars, never understood that, just hateful. Turns out, one of the third party "helper" hacks, I mean apps (oops!), was redistributed with a key-logger inserted, bastages.

Uhmmm this is a huge no on so many levels, I know Shaololint and all of his toons, I play with him and his wife on a regular basis, he was logged on, in a fill raid party for the Abbot raid, and all of a sudden DC'ed out of nowhere, this is not an issue of him giving his info to anyone he was hacked hardcore, while he was actually playing.
The non-action buy turbine is disgusting, due to the complete lack of help from turbine he has lost a years worth of shroud ingredients as well as every epic scroll he had and most of his resources across all of his toons. This kind of customer support would make me quit the game for sure, and heck since he is actually PAYING REAL MONEY i would not be at all surprised if he had grounds for, shall we say actions to resolve this gross negligence outside of e-mail and phone calls
This kinda of support is pathetic Turbine

are you sure you shared your info with know one the only times i ever hear this happening in any mmo it always comes out they paid for something 3rd party, plat, points, items, power leveling or a friend logged in their acct and jacked em its almost never the evil hacker ninja.

So you can say with absolute 100% certainty that he has NEVER given his information out? That his login and password are not easy to guess? That he has never done anything that would put a malicious program on his machine? I call shinanagins.
That said, I always love to see these bashing on compaines because they have failed to respond instantaneously to thier problems posts. Because your friend is EVERYTHING to them, not customers, your friend. In fact they have a special line just for issues related to him and a team to jump on them asap. Certainly they cannot have MANY customer related issues to deal with that may have been I dont know... before your friends?
It sucks to get your account hacked, but account hackers are very quick and skilled at cleaning accounts out. I would guess that even if Turbine locked his account the second he was able to prove he was indeed the owner and was no longer in control of his account, they would have still had him cleaned out.
This trend of lack of personal accountability is pathetic.

So going by your timestamps on your posts, it was a little over 24 hours to get it resolved? (Did I read that right? Not enough coffee yet.) That's not too bad, especially since their call center was closed because of the weather.

i would say your ignorance is pretty disgusting.
Next time just go play wow rather than open your trap and remove all doubt about your limited capability to comprehend....its the OPs fault not Turbines. and they did respond in a quite timely manner.....to something that was not thier problem but all OPs

Try to look at it this way. Turbine cannot/will not talk about action they are taking. In older day they used to operate "sting" operations to catch plat farmers. They may be working to catch the people who are using your account to press charges and/or ban their IP or something similar and may be unable to talk to you about this at the time.

By your agument they have no basis to say were hacked any more then I have basis to say they weren't.

Hmm, personally I can't remember the last time I heard of a plat farmer in DDO although I'm sure they are out there. I would say they have done a pretty decent job of getting rid of them personally.

I agree the OP's position sucks. Having to sit and wait for a reply on something like this would not be pleasant. BUT, what would you have Turbine do? Identity theft, which this is a mild form of, is hard to investigate.
*I am in no way saying this happened, this is a hypothetical situation purely.*
OP changes his email address because his old email address had been compromised by a "hacker". Then, he does the smart thing and changes his passwords, inlcuding his DDO password.
Turbine is then contacted by someone (hacker?) saying that account belongs to him and can they reset the password?
LIke I said, a purely hypothetical situation but how would you prove which is which?
