EU Character Transfer. Next delay?

Ok, first of all i want to thank Turbine for taking care of the Europe community and I will skip talking about Codemasters (actually I do talk alot about that...). Also don't expect the best english in this post :P

Some time ago I sended a message to Turbine asking about the character transfer, since I'm one of those that shared the mail after November 29th (1 day later actually...), asking when was the next delay or if I (or the transfer tool) had any kind of problem since it keeps saying "Your Email and Transition key combination is invalid!".

Well, after 3 days (thats actually pretty fast to be honest :D) I did recived a message from Turbine sending me to the FAQ (http://www.ddo.com/eutransferfaq) that i already told them that I checked and asking me for patience.

More than a month have passed and they havent changed the info on the FAQ and neither on the "EU Character Transfer News!" have changed.

EU Transfer FAQ -> November 29th, 2010 (and it keeps saying that they will make delays every month as seen on this line "We anticipate that new opt ins will be processed on a monthly basis after November 29th<- isn't that December 30th? Well i bet they were on vacations, or that's what I want to think :P")

So my question is. When is the next delay comming up?

I think you should post in the EU ghetto also known as the International General Discussion - English-only, as your question is going to be lost in the rest of the US related stuff here.

Suposedly, if they follow a monthly schedule is should be Soon(TM) ( I'd say next week... but I can be wrong ).
But I suspect the best is to send a PM to Cordovan or Tolero, as they are the ones able to dig out the information and put it here in an official manner.

i think most of the transfer is done now, it sounds like you have a technical issue that needs some help.

first things though, did you make sure to format your key properly? i remember something about the dashes being important, i think they needed to be taken out. that bit is in the FAQ so you can look it up. i guess you've already done that though but its worth mentioning as it would be the easiest thing to fix :)

anyway, i suggest you contact support again.

I try that every single day, with dashes, without dashes etc (garioth <- desperated).

No matter if I use spaces, dashes, just numbers and letter or even typing it while I do a backflip with my hear on the chair it stills says the same...

Send a ticket to customer support, I have heard that there are some cases where an old e-mail addy can be associated with the transfer key rather than your current one.

M8 take it easy I'm in your same situation, I know it sucks to be waiting but thats it... I wish I had my barb to play along with, instead I'm raising a cleric with another account, so I will be able to box with both accounts and don't waste money on hirelings and stuff... :(.

I have contacted turbine and I'm waiting for the reply (as mentioned), I will let you know when something "pops up".

BTW were from europe are you from? :P (just curious).

Another week is passing and still not even a single message. I'm starting to believe that Turbine took some random guy from street gave him twenty bucks, pen-drive which can store up to one char and a paddle-boat, then pointed him direction to Europe and said 'Mate go find Codemasters hq, copy this chars on list and come back fast becouse we have more job for you'. And this guy sailed this rout thousand times (that's where earlier delays came from), but this time he get lost, maybe get attacked by some sea-monsters or just get eaten by a kobold.

Seriusly, after first wave(up to 29th Nov) opt-ins and that delay normal people should learn about how to do it and get procced faster. I believe that was massive spam which Turbine couldn't expect, but handle it. Also there should be significantly less opt-ins than there was in first wave. So where delay comes from? Christmas-holydays break? Seriusly? That was like what? Four or five days off-work? Or you just don't care about it anymore becouse there are so few opt-ins that a guy who take care all those transfer stuff thinks "hey, hwo cares about when i hit that enter button" or you send him to other duties like draw a Kobold contest. Right now I feel like someone just go and make wee-wee on me.

I know, another drama-queen post. But someone have to say something. I'm aware of that you hadn't to do any transfers, but if you already obligate to do something, then finish the job. I don't want to give an offense to anyone, I admire your work upon this game(which I really like) and stuff you did and that you are going to do, but a lack of communication drives me crazy.

I've heard he managed to arrive but had problems with the kraken, Leviathan, Sea bishop, giant squids and a bgang of sea serpents . So now he's comming back again mounted on a donkey since the paddle-boat collisioned against some pices of the "armada invencible" that went to the surface, so yeah they do delays cause they gave him a pterosaurus pendrive that allow him to take a 5% of 1 single character and also Codemasters makes him a full body holes exam before letting him enter into the chamber of madness were he must find his MOTHA FU***ING way out to the netbook were they storage our chars... Plus when he arrives to Turbine's office they need to decript the whole pendrive and spend time on that and not doing LOT** comercials. ( lets hope the donkey knows how to swim :( )

PLUS this delay was made in winter so the bad weather made that GLORIOUS quest longer and since Turbine was on vacations he had some days without helicopter weapon supplies and radio comunication.

Now seriously, haven't got any notice/reply neither... I'm pretty much sure that I'm not going to get my chars :( :( :(...

True, your totally right, but it kinda gets me out of my nerves (and im a veeeeeeeery calmed person)... and DDO its definetly the only "new" mmo that I like.

Making a drama here and crying in our arms huged wont make it faster, but atleast we can SAY SOMETHING

One in the line of also short of getting his chars transfered. I have the same problem with invalid code/mail. And I have been going back and forth between codemasters and Turbine about this. I have been waiting for this since start of December last year like most of you guys in here. I have several tickets out but nothing happens. Not in the way they tell how they can fix it

Yeah prolly you re right. Another way to read Victorie words is something like "Hell, I don't know what ours guys doing, but for God sake I ll faster cut my arm rather than admit that we are not doing anything in this case" and/or "lay low and and keep ur' mouth shut"

"we are working on it" and "we will do it as soon as posible" allways means "we will do it when we want and have time" or "we are not working on that at the moment". BTW I think Victorie is just doing his job and he/she asks Turbine for info and the "higher guys" just give him/her those kind of excuses. We can't blame him/her.

No, I don't blame him/her for anything, he/she doing his/her job and thanks for that, at least there is some reaction for our posts, even if it is nothing new.
