View Full Version : Searching for logon server ... (Attempt 20 of 20)

I'm starting to get this a lot followed by: "Connection failed: Client timed out the connection".

What does it mean? It's new since a couple of updates back.

It's quite frustrating when you've just done a quest, finish out, get stuck on loading screen, wait 5 minutes and get that error message. You log back in and then you get "Searching for logon server ... " for the next couple of hours.

Please help me get my game back.

The FAQ (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=202636)and Knowlegebase (http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=24001)both state this message relates to firewall.

If you play on Thelanis there were issues last night however.

Thank you.

I will make sure to read up on it and solve it myself next time it happens.

I had this error again tonight (Feb 7, 17.45 EST). Been playing without problems and suddenly I get disconnected and can't log back on to Cannith. I can log on to Argonessen and play fine but Cannith keeps searching for logon server.

So I turned off Windows Firewall to try again and it didn't change anything. I still can't connect. It's not the internet as I can do all sorts of other things. It's just that one server.

Same issue here, was in for a second. Then I got "booted" because I logged into Ghallandra...

Same here. I thought it was only Ghallanda... Is it me or server issues are getting common lately?

Can play on Argonessen, can use my internet, nothing seems to be wrong but Cannith just won't let me back on.

Starting to see a pattern here. I log in, I relog or zone and I get this. Freezes me out for a good couple of hours. Other guys in my guild are online so it's not server maintenance. It's not related to my firewall either.

Can anyone give me a qualified suggestion for what's up here? Starting to really freak me out.

Resetting my router getting a fresh IP has worked wonders so far.

Thanks guys for sending me PMs about this.

I have had this issue since mid last week, have reinstalled DDO, Reconfigured the Firewall, can use the internet, can log on to other servers without any problems but on Cannith this happens to me, everytime i zone i loose my connection to the server, when i try to log back on i get 20 out of 20 attemps to find the login server, but when i try to access the login server defined in the launcher log file i get a responce thru my browser, i have rebooted my router (i get the same ip address each time) with no luck, seen from my view it seems like a server / client problem.

Any help appriciated.

Cheers Tom

I would try the steps outlined in the article here (http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=24001&task=knowledge&questionID=570) (if the page doesn't load on a first click try a second, some browsers need that) but also follow up with a tech support request (http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=24001&task=ticket) if it keeps up after that.
