That effect has nothing to do with healing amplification. It's just like potency or any other spell boosting effect that it affects the positive spells you cast (heal, cure light wounds, etc). It has no effect on spells that are cast ON you only those cast BY you.

What you want OP, are Levik's Bracers (also found in Hound) which grant 20% healing amplification which means cure/healing spells cast on you work 20% better.

Honestly was wondering what this topic was about, so I hunted down the page the TC quoted that from and checked the relevant discussion page there.

From the sound of it, The Improved/Superior Devotion VIII effect on the Lorrik's Set is broken... somehow. "Only increases damage, not effectiveness" is somewhat vague.

From the sound of it, the effect doesn't stack with the 40% boost from the Cleric Life Magic enhancements, even though I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't.

Lorrik's set increases your ability to cast healing spells (i.e. outgoing healing).

Healing Amp increases your ability to receive healing spells (i.e. incoming healing).

Lorrik's set is kind of worthless in my opinion, since you can get the two belts in Amrath that will let you get +75% healing power for level 8 spells and below for 18 minutes without taking up a gear slot instead of just +50% healing power at the cost of three gear slots.
