Well, Half-orcs in D&D, Eberron, Orren, Aber-Toril, all follow the same rules in regards to various things.
Half-orcs get bonuses from the same racial stats in each, are effected by magic the same in each, have the same favored class, and more. Half-orcs physically are no different realm to realm. The only difference is culture and acceptance.
But oddly Half-orcs cannot use Human restricted items but Half-elves can. This is against the rules of D&D and Eberron. Basically, I think Half-orcs should be given the ability to use items that are restricted to humans.
Plus, I noticed that half-orcs are effected by the same magic spells as humans and orcs. But they are not effected by the magic of bane weapons and items that offer other bonuses or harmful traits to humans and orcs. This can be considered against the rules of D&D and Eberron.
This may not be PnP Eberron, it may not be PnP D&D, but every game both PnP and Video/Computer is a game that follows the rules of D&D to the best of their ability, because they are D&D games. We are not supposed to be playing LordOfTheRings or WorldOfWarcraft, we are playing DungeonsAndDragonsOnline. We should be playing this game like it should be.
Right now, Half-orcs seem more like their own unique species separate from orcs humans and half-orcs in game. This should be changed so that half-orcs are half-orcs again. The special alterations made both hinder and benefit half-orcs, as well as make them something completely, alien. If it is not considered a bug. Than it should be considered an extreme alteration.
