It would be nice if the Auction House held stock from all the servers.
There may be richer people on other servers, and they could bid more for a particular item.
Like.. buy a Bloodstone from the AH on Sarlona and it came from some dude on Cannith.

massive cost for turbine. need another server. increased maint cost. pretty much ruin the economy for some servers.
for no real world money gain. unless they put in a special cross server auction house and sell access to it for a ton of TP. And still have the other problems such a thing would bring.
Yeah i don't see that ever going to happen.
Since when did they put a auctioneer in the pvp pit anyway....

I agree with the above poster, it would ruin some server's economies and be a huge indevor for turbine with constant matinence costs.

On the plus side, this would add more listings for specific items, leading to some price stability. From an economic standpoint, this would be an excellent addition to the game.
However, as mentioned above, the programming for this would be a nightmare, or would be just plain impossible. :(

It's actually not as difficult as you think. A single server, doing nothing but database control for the AH.
That database gathers the player's posted stock and puts it into one universal AH listing.
That new AH listing is what everyone is able to see. Honestly I think it's very doable.
