Apparently the current one is only intended for bosses but has somehow managed to sneak into our spell books as a bug.

But I think we should keep it, would be a nice necromancy school addition and add a little variety to the spells we have.

Explosive Curse
Cooldown: 3 seconds
Spell Point Cost:
Target: Foe
Level:
3 (Cleric, Favored Soul)
4 (Sorcerer, Wizard)
Components: Somatic, Verbal
School: Necromancy
Metamagic: Enlarge, Heighten, Quicken
Spell Resistance: Yes
The target is cursed with a unique explosive effect. After 8 seconds, the curse causes an explosion directly on the target, damaging it and any allies near it.

agreed, and have the enemy casters remove curse too. would be a nice beginning of a somewhat smart AI and horrendous lag

So it's a spell..maybe even a cool one..and we cant have it...Why? It's rather like a taunt.. Do the bosses need access to more spells that players can't cast? No. Should they be able to cast spells fully metamagiced endlessly? Should the be able to use unmetaed spell-like abilities endlessly? Yes. Should players have the possibility of gaining any spell in the game in some capacity resembling its p-n-p origin? Yes. The answer to new and interesting content is not to throw abilities of an ever more out of reach variety at players. This is either insurmountable or a speedbump and rarely anything in between. The content simply needs to be interesting and have replay value. More tools in the players hands is more interesting and if the spell is to powerful for players...well it isn't hard to figure out who else shouldn't have it then is it.
