I don't know how many of these things were there before and I just didn't notice...
Half-orcs are viewed from a different angle in the focus orb.
/who panel now darker.
Character panel now has a little icon that shows how many points your build is
Epic Garos' Malice now has vorpal. (need verification)
Epic Robe of Dissonance now has new stats. (need verification)
Focus Orb now has a 20 where the CR goes when targetting yourself, and a 0 when targeting others.
Lock icon on locked weapons is golden
Anything else?

Earth elementals now make loud annoying rocky sounds
Air elementals (in reaver's fate at least, don't know about other places) cast gust of wind and slow you down.

Anything else?
1. When you loot a chest, there is a strange new graphical effect when you dbl-clk on the loot
2. In DDO's char select screen, there is a graphical effect when you click on a toon
This stuff might be in the rel notes but I sure did not see it.

Looting a chest, talking to a quest-giver, these sort of things will cause a 1 second cool-down on a bunch of things in my characters' hotbars.

Found another thing. They added clipping to the rocks in front of the tangleroot dungeon, before you were able to go inside the boulder.

Here's a couple things I've noticed since UD8 that weren't mentioned yet:
1. Half-Orc attack animations when wielding a Great Axe is messed up. The fourth swing is just...missing. Anyone with a Horc with a G-Axe, try it and see. They swing three times, then when they are supposed to do the downward strike, they just stand there. The mobs still take damage from the "hit", but the animation is missing.
2. Also, rogue hirelings do not work. Was in Caverns of Korromar with a guildie and we both summoned gold seal hireling rogues to open a locked chest. And both of them promptly commenced just standing there looking stupid, despite our best efforts to get them to interact with the chest. Awesome waste of 60 TP between the 2 of us players. Thanks Turbine.
Also, the thing about the "glowy" animation when changing characters at the character selection screen was mentioned in the release notes.
"A visual effect now plays when switching between characters." ~From the "UI Improvements" section of the release notes.

I haven’t had an opportunity to test this yet. So, if you’re enterprising enough to test it, it would make a good addition to the list. Assuming that the last version of Lammaland was the gold version of Update 8, then Renown tokens should be able to be picked up when you have a full inventory.

"Returning throwing weapons (both named and otherwise) can now be bound and attuned in the Stone of Change. "
But, my Dwarven Thrower cannot be bound/attuned. Anyone have any other named throwing weapon they can try?

Not exactly, but I now can add augments to my epic noxious fang when before u8 it wouldnt let me add any epic augments to it, I think it's the same fix. Bug report it?

Which locked chest were you trying to open? The one in the sewers can be picked, but the one on the pillar above the courtyard cannot--it needs a special key that you get later in the dungeon. The rest should unlock when you kill the appropriate orange name.

In the "Select Area" portion of the Quest Journal there is now one category for the Red Fens, where before it was two, one for the wilderness zone's rares, slayers and explorer points, with a separate entry for the quests in the zone.

Death Aura fixed in 3 manners:
1) Fixed when death aura was healing/damaging for inappropriate low values when character was meleeing
2) Fixed when death aura was healing/damaging for inappropriate low values when you were changing potency value while aura was in effect
3) Fixed when death aura was healing/damaging for inappropriate low values when you casted stoneskin from a GS item.

I hate this, I hope they remove it and never even consider bringing it back.

This has happened since u7.1. Even allied Air Elementals could slow party members. It just happens far more often now in u8.
The biggest change regarding Air Eles is that they can blow out Otto's Sphere of Dancing.

I tried with my Chill Shard and it's worked.
I looted it after update 8.
Maybe the issue is only happening with named returning looted pre update 8 ?

Was running relic of a sovereign past last night and the draves in there drop lumps of coal now (thats a first for me), might be related to the festival though.
Edit:Rep for Backley,gotta go read the patch notes again and hope the reading comprehension kicks in this time.

This has happened since u7.1. Even allied Air Elementals could slow party members. It just happens far more often now in u8.
The biggest change regarding Air Eles is that they can blow out Otto's Sphere of Dancing.
The change is that air eles cast gust of wind. Gust of wind, probably, has always blown away dancing spheres. Which is probably a bug.
Also, that friendly air eles dispel friendly spells when casting gust of wind is probably a bug, as well.

Also, it's in the release notes for PC drow, but it looks like all drow have increased SR.
Named drow in eVoN1 has SR > 45.
Drow casters in epic Bargain of Blood have SR > 43.

I was able to hit several of the drow in Tide Turns with a paralyzer so I'm not sure what is going on with the SR there.

A paralyzer has no relation to Spell Resistance.

I've had the SR shield pop up when using it before, must have been hitting them at the same time as something else if that's the case.
