Is there a guide somewhere ranking classes solo ability from best to worst, throughout the game, not limited to solo quests. I currently have every f2p class running, and I am wondering how far each of them can go while soloing, although I don't always solo. A combo of favor and some money ( not much though ) should help me unlock monk, and favored soul sometime. So of f2P classes, what are the worst and best at soloing? I kow this varies, but just looking for a general guideline.

Look up each class in the compendium...or i think one of the build experts have ranked the DDO build streams for soloability, although I can't think of which player (its colour coded). If I think of it, I'll reply.

Here's an example:
Soloability by level:
No hireling..: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20
With hireling: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20

Soloability is colour-coded (really, it is) for each path by tihocan. Click on each path. Not sure where he got the information, but he's smarter than I, so I abide.

In descending order:

Wizard > Sorcerer > Cleric > Favored Soul > Bard > Monk > Ranger > Rogue > Paladin > Barbarian > Fighter

I would change that list too:

Favored soul > Cleric > Wizard > Sorcerer > Monk/Ranger/Pally > Bard > Rogue > Fighter > Barb

The ones that are equal are so becuase with the right build all three of those can make great soloers. Also i put divines ahead of arcanes becuase i believe there is more content that can be soloed effiecently by them, mostly be requiring less mana to kill stuff and higher hp.

Depends on the build... To me, most solo builds are viable due to a few things.

*Can self-heal reliably (which may mean scrolls or wands)
*Can mitigate incoming damage in some way.
*Can deliver enough damage by themselves as they accomplish the above.

This is why warforged arcanes are so popular for "solo" they can do all of the above very easily, same for divine caster builds.

Finally, the last solo option is stealthing, but as I have no experience with it, I can't say.

With multiclassing things change.

In general as long as you can do damage and selfheal, you have soloable build.

But alot depends on player, not build. As with many things, its the driver, not car.

This I believe to be the most accurate list, and ranks them by their ability to not take damage.

However, I feel a 5th "class" would be warranted to reflect the Tank Fighter, who is generally only getting hit every 20th attack and has ample amounts of hitpoints/dps to blow through most content. With a portable hireling... he's downright invincible. Unfortunately, he wouldn't rank any higher than Heal-scroll spamming Rogue, putting him above the worst solo class in the game... the Barbarian.
