So occasionally while I am at work I find myself thinking about ways to improve the game. (alright, it's more often than not) i am not sure if something like this has been suggested before, but what if turbine added another "difficulty" level to certain quests that instead of increasing the difficulty, stripped away all of your equipment and held it for you to the end of the quest. (like a reincarnation cache) Then you would be allowed to pick from a set list of set equipment of all moderate utility. Instead of loot, each chest in the quest would give you a token to trade in for crafting ingredients of a level appropriate for the quest. This would add a challenge to some of these quests that have become very simple due to toons geared with every uber item under the sun. And if your toon is dependent on those items, then you prob wouldn't need to be crafting anything new anyway;) It would be nice to occasionally have quests that are based on skill rather than loot, and be rewarded for it. It would also benefit newer players by giving them a chance to get some crafted items without feeling like they are just tagging along. Seems like most of the mechanics would already be there to do this, similar to what they do when you TR. Just something I thought might be fun.
