Since there are more and more ppl asking about my bard, i'd love to share my build here.

B4 i start i wanna thank Ratins(from The Oriental Style) first for the idea of rolling a tanking-brd, i consulted his build and changed it a bit to serve my turn.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reasons i rolled this toon :
1, making some raids such as EDQ much easier
2, more chances to pull seals/shards cuz i had only 1 capped toon
3, hanging around w/ friends/guidies when my Sorc was on timer for all raids

Expectations on the build:
1, steady intimidate skill check, it means 79 for EDQ
2, high HP, high DR, high saves and evasion for least healing requirment and least possibility of death
3, doing as many guard damages as possible while tanking
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Build:
Name: Haggleftw
Race: Human//For 1 more feat and Human Boost
Class: 16Brd/2Barb/2Rog//For rage and evasion
Basis Stats: 11/14/18/9/8/14(32pts), 23 Con when capped//I suggest max out Cha other than Con b4 ur well equiped as Haggleftw does, u can always LR when u want :)
Feats: Toughnessx2, Shield Masteryx2, Weapon Focus, Improved Critical, Power Attack, Extend//For more HP, more DR, and warchanter
Skills: Max Balance, Concertration, Haggle, Intimidate, Perform, Umd; rest points on Jump and Open Lock//Key skills are Balance, Concertration, Intimdate and Perform
Spells and Enhancements would be easy to choose as long as u have a clue about this kinda build

Equipments:
Goggles: Dust II(45HP+5 Con Skills)
Helm: Epic Helm of the Mroranon(Empty Yellow Slot)
Necklace: Shintao Cord/Scourge Choker
Trinket: Litany of the Dead/Epic Pouch of Jerky
Armor: Greater false life+Corrosive Guard+Disintegration Guard/10% Healing Amplification+20% Healing Amplifcication+Earthen Guard
Cloack: Epic Envenomed Cloak(Good Luck +2)
Bracers: Lightning II(300SP+6 Cha Skills)
Belt: Epic Belt of the Mroranon(+6 Dex)
Ring(Left): Thamor's Ring(+2 Con)
Ring(Right): Amara's Band(+2 Cha)/Kyosho's Ring(+2 Str)/Gilvaenor's Ring(+2 Dex)
Boots: Epic Boots of Corrosion, Madstone Boots x4
Gloves: Epic Gloves of the Claw
Shield: Levik's Defender
Weapons: Epic Hellstroke Great Axe, +4 Acid Maul of Greater Undead Bane, +3 Anarchic Bastard Sword of Greater Construct Bane/+3 Holy Dwarven Axe of Greater Construct Bane, +4 Vorpal Scimitar/+4 Vorpal Longsword, +4 Acid Dagger of Greater Parrying

Status(under lv50 airship buffs):
Str: 36(Madstone Rage)
Con: 56-64(Blood & Madstone Rage)
Intimidate: 77-82
HP: 841-921(Blood & Madstone Rage)
DR: 38-43
Healing Amplification: 207%
Saves: 45+ Fortitude, 40+ Reflex, 30+ Will
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion:
1, Huge HP and decent saves to tank in all (Epic)raids w/o taking any risk. Example: i'll never be killed instantly in TOD(even it's on elite) as long as my hp more than 2/3

2, High healing Amplification to make him easily to be healed as a non-ac tank. Example: i have been in a few Elite VOD runs w/ some healers who heals me 100+ per tick w/ the aura, i think they can do the same things in TOD.

3, Intimidate tanking has exhibits its advantages since Mod9, especially when it's a brd that is doing it since we all see that bards have been in an awkward situation for long - they can either melee or cast but they can do neither well enuff to replace a real melee or arcane/divine in a raid group, so having a brd to tank other than to pike after songs means that u can free a slot for some real melee and improve the dps of the group. Additionally, when u put an ac build to tank, he has to sacrifice his dps(sometimes even Saves/HP) more or less for his ac, which would be a bit risky in a Hard/Elite TOD, and the rest melees have to be carefull to dish out dps in case they take over the aggro.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Advice:
1, If ur rolling such a brd and gonna hit 79 intimidate, u have to pick up 2 more feats, max out ur charisma, and be prepared to suffer the pain of farming
2, always remember to swap equiment sets for different quests
3, learn some skills such as how to sing songs betweent 2 intimdations :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the 1st time i wrote such kinda thread, thanks for reading, i hope it will help u more or less and i'd love to answer any questions about the build or the intimdation.

I also have one of these type builds, they are super fun! Good to see other people realizing the tankiness of the bards.

Could you post a full breakdown of your HP's? Mine top out at about 600, and I cannot see how you are getting 900.

those numbers were from my bio which was not updated in time, lol, now i have them corrected.
base 132, con bonus 27x20=540, feat bonus 124(feats 74, enhancement 50,), enchantment bonus(greensteel, sfl, toughness, yugo pot) 125, max hp = 921
Con: 23(base) + 3(tome) + 10(items) + 2(enhancement) + 2(airship) + 2(yugo) + 2(rage) + 4(barb rage) + 8(madstoned rage) + 8(blood rage)= 64

Just wanted to stop in and say that you bard tanks (I'm including Ratin in this) rule.

I like the synergy in this build with Barb levels. Usually I dislike Barb splashes as Rage works counter to a Bard's inherent flexibility, but if you're tanking, it's a perfect match.

But wait. . .This will disillusion those dudes that wouldn't let you tank a REAVER!!!

Anyway, it's really awesome to have you to depend on when I am leading:)

This bard rocks. Our eDQ last night proved the tremendous application of a build like this as we only need 1 1/2 passes on Lailat to finish, clerics with 50% or more SP left and no deaths. Makes me feel like I should put my bard to better use! Who knows, I have a couple of TRs in my future....

To be fair, we had 3 healers in the run. Of course we had 3 bards as well :)
