View Full Version : What do you want added to GS crafting?

I would like to see options on all three teirs so wizards could craft a staff for their selves. Options could include Penatration, Profiency(sp ck), Element boost, School boost, Megamagic feat, Spell Points, and or Spell Point generator for in-quest spell point recovery.

I would also love to see them add rings too.

And defensive items, like armor maybe. And defensive abilities that can be put on those items (and on bracers and helms). For example, why are weapons the only GS item that can get Heightened Awareness 4? Why can't a GS helm add that? Why can't we get some more, awesome defensive abilities, too. Like dodge bonuses. I mean, how sick would it be to make a GS item with dodge +1, +2, and +3 (or +4!) on it? Or Toughness, so that Minos Legens isn't the end-all-be-all non-epic helmet?

I'd agree up until the point they added monk ToD rings. The combo of that with GS handwraps would be overpowered.

Helmets and rings, leave the tiers as they are, most named items are built around what greensteel can't do, changing it would destroy the little balance we have left.

Some kind of receipe that will make force. Would be really fun and interesting to see what kind of tier 3 bonuses and dual sharded bonuses items/weapons could have.

I'd like to see the full range of greensteel weapons as well as armor and shields.

All the slottable properties from epic crafting should be achievable.

Same goes for dragon touched armor.

You mean overawesome. Can you tell my main toon is a monk?

Sadly, you're probably right about that, though...unless they changed what many/most of the recipes would do to handwraps (keep Insight +4 to AC!). Maybe taking away the elemental 1d6s, the bursts, and the blasts, and replacing them with other abilities (like stunning). Of course, that'd be a pretty big undertaking for one weapon.

(I think the two most logical additions)

Trinkets(I know there are plenty of nice named trinkets)
Returning Ammo(Arrows/Bolts) - Imagine an AA with a LitII Longbow using MinII Arrows and Imbue Slayer
Quivers(or something to put into the quiver slot)
Eternal Wands(I think this could be interesting) - Blank made with the festival twig; Teir1: 50 charges of a Spell(determined by element of shard); Teir2: Augment Teir1 spell with additional damage, or increased recharge rate; Teir3: Bonus SP, Greater Spell Pen, Superior Potency

*Semi Off-Topic*(to eplain my reasoning for Eternal GS Wands)
I like the fact that they are adding more Eternal Wands to the game, but personally I don't think there are enough that can be used as ranged weapons for casters wanting to save SP. Let's face it it's not an efficient use of time or money to use a wand/scroll of any type to do damage when you're out of SP. Ok maybe at the lower levels can you use the existing eternal wands as ranged weapons to augment spell casting.

add decreased enchantments to the damage based recipes across the board (except regeneration - that could be improved) to GS items that becomes retroactive.

And handwraps.

I would enjoy seeing a gsteel wiz staff but for balance reasons I would assume they would make its crafting options severely limited. no handwraps because of the huge balance issues involved in that.

I want the ability to craft +6 to a stat other than wisdom on worn items. :)

Oh, and I want to craft Superior Potency on worn items!

Deconstruct most definately...

The eternal wand idea is a good one. It would give another option for the two Wand/Scroll Enhancement lines.

Quivers would also be a good idea.
