These have probably been asked and answered 100 times before but -

1. To TR do I just have to hit level 20 or do I then have to hit the xp cap? (I'm assuming at 20 there's 4 more AP to get like the other levels)

2. I'll be Ftr 20 at cap - to get the Monk Past Life feat I was thinking of doing two LR+5's first to get to Ftr 10/Monk 10. Will this qualify me for Monk Past Life? Will I need to LR again to Ftr 9/Monk 11?

Thanks

once you hit 20, you reach xp cap. the 4 more AP comes instantly (I know, I was surprised too)

Question 2, idk heh

Yes

The very scientific way Turbine describes which past life feat you receive is what ever icon was the prominent icon of your past multi-class life. So to be SURE you get the Monk feat it will have to be the Monk by 1 level.

1- answer has been given

2- you need 11/9 monk fighter to get past life monk (i dont know how you can prefer +1 damage to +1 DC, but thats not the point :p)

rule for past life on 10/10 level depends on 1- when was the class added to the game 2-alphabetical order

maybe you should get some solid gear before TR'ing. while grinding it you would learn alot and when you hit cap again, you won't be a gearless TR. And try not to buy the earth if it's your first one, earn it the hard way so you get even more gameplay skills while experiencing epics.

And btw, the fighter past life is good too. and maybe leveling a monk to 20 would be a better idea than 3 LR. That's what i would do. It takes lots of points and several weeks to get trough those 3 LR. Not enough time to hit 20, but you would save ALOT of points.

Hope this helps

In this case he will have to be a 11 monk 9 fighter to get the monk past life. But the way it works is alphabetically with a few exceptions.

Barbarian >bard >cleric >fighter >paladin >ranger >rogue >sorcerer >wizard >monk >favored soul

In a 10/10 split whichever class is earlier on this will be the icon class.
