Charged Gauntlets Damage

I have been noticing for a while that whenever I do electric damage with my Charged Gauntlets it seems to be 50+ unless the mob makes the saving throw cutting the damage in half. I was thinking that this seemed like very high damage considering they are supposed to do 10d6, and then tonight I did 61 damage with them.

So does anyone know what the real damage for these gauntlets are?

Or a mob vernrable to lightning dmg? I usually proc around 30-40 on my Pally...

Quite often DDO D6s for damage are actually loaded dice = D3+3, so an average roll of 50 is about right for 10D3+30.

yes, the dice are broken on the gauntlets or the text is wrong

Yeah I normally get around 50 soloing with no debuffs . Ssssh dont tell anyone

The text on Charged Gauntlets is incorrect. Instead of 10d6 it's 10d3+30.

I've seen procs of 2, 5, 11, 14, 17, 20, and 55. Lots of other numbers, like 22, but I really notice the extremes. Yes, I watch my combat log and I do speed read.

10d6? More like 1d60.

10d6 = 10-60 damage.

10d6 = 10-60 damage.
For many years, 10d6 meant 31-60 in DDO.

I was running solo on my level 7 Bard so I can't think of anything that would have given a boost to electrical damage, I took a screenshot but I had accidentally clicked off of my combat log and was on general. If I see more than 60 again I will try to get a screenshot. I still think its more than 10d3+30...the only time I see less than 45 when these proc is when the mob makes its save.

I usually get either something in the 20s or 50ish, but some other numbers occasionally.

mine proced a 72 once while fighting a flesh golem. :(

I have several times noted a roll of 61 with these gauntlets. On normal mobs, such as the undead in delera's or the hobgolbins in tangle. Not sure what's going on.

Also, the damage range does seem to be the "normal" 10d3+30, aside from that single point. I've never seen more than 61, at least.
From time to time the mobs save, of course, resulting in 20-30 damage.
