I run a log of Reavers for puggers, you know the type "Reaver time, all welcome", mainly on my healer type toons.

My guys have all their Reaver gear of course, so it's just a bit of no stress fun for me, gives other people an easy Reaver complete, (is there another type? :P) with a good chance at the loot their toons need, knowing they've got healz, the puzzle is covered, and that piking is just fine.

Some people even join for my patented 'flight attendant' opening speech (it's pugging, you don't know how much the people that join do or don't know, and i've got a spiel to cover the basics that's so practiced it sounds like a flight attendant winding up :P).

So i had a fellow join a couple of days ago, and he starts talking, and the language is really 'off tap'.

I'm on Luciforge (my new fighter2/18fvs 1/2 orc TR) and i'm no boy scout, i've been known to get a bit 'blue' on occasion (but usually only with people that know me - guildies and such), but this guy is really going for it, i mean, not a single sentence passess by without at least 2 of the higher shock value expletives being brought into play.

I've got some people that know me in there (we'd just blooded a group in TOR), a few of which are guildies and a couple that hang in the same raiding channels as i do, and they all start to comment on it.

The 'designated' tank jumps the gun before one member of the raid party is in (we'd been waiting for a couple of minutes for him, but hey, it's a pug, sometimes it takes a while for people to get their behinds in for whatever reason, i don't mind waiting, Reaver is very low stress raiding time, why rush it i say), at which point i say 'everyone jump out, we'll re-form and do it'.

When that fellow with the predilection for blue language hits the lfm i decline him.

And then i get the tells, i'm on the squelch list, i reply 'ty :)'.

This worries me not at all, being squelched is no big deal, some use it as a 'power play' scare tactic, who could care less i reckon, but it got me to wondering, at what point does 'adult' language become a bit too much......

Discuss.... :).

Coit out~
