I like it, its saved my bacon more than a few times. Then again theres been a few times where i pop up only to be slaughtered again. But thats when death pact comes into play :D

Besides, if you get DI, you wont ever have to make that laggy jump on your way to VoD. Cast DI on yourself, go do the puzzle and walk to the other side without fear of lag jumping into the pit of death below the platforms.

Depends on what you like to run. Monsters do not keep agro on the char you put it on if they get incaped, but at least he/she won't die. If you run Abbot it is very helpfull because whoever has it can swim in the water of death without issues. If you run ToD/Abbot it will be expected that a cleric has the capstone. If you don't, tell the leader that you do not have it because he will assume that you do.

*Divine* Intervention.

If you are pure class capped cleric, it will be expected that you have this capstone.

There are many instances where it will benefit you, a raid, a party.

If someone is incap, their aggro is reset - enough time to heal them back up and let them get back to work. ToD Part 2 Kiters, Tanks in various raids - there are many places a player can benefit from this.

DI lets you sandbag a Shroud Part 3 until the wall shows up and kills everyone, then you DI through the wall and save the day! Hero time!

Or cast it on people that are about to /death to Meridia so they can't for 5 minutes.

There are a few places where DI can be very useful, so it is definitely worth taking. I've seen it save a caster a few times in TOD part 2 in particular.

I don't have a capped cleric so I had no idea, but DI and deathpact work together?
As in,one triggers when you die and not both at the same time?
...Thats awesome.

It's only 2 AP and there are a few instances where it is very useful (Abbot and ToD come to mind). It's not so good that it's absolutely worth staying pure for but I see no reason not to take it on a L20 cleric.

Add that a killed MT loses a screenful of raid buffs and isn't back in tanking shape when rezzed, but the DI protected but incapped MT is back in the fight still buffed and re-acquiring aggro as soon as you throw the big heal.

This.

If you're not planning on staying pure, DI isn't really enough to change your mind. If you are planning on staying pure, it's a nice boost for only 2AP. If you're a Radiant Servant, it's especially nice as the uses recharge anyway. It's definitely situational, but in those few situations where it is useful it could really improve the chances of success.

With DI on, you don't die. you just incap at -9 and then get an automatic minor cure to get you back on your feet a few seconds later. You keep your buffs since you haven't died. Death pact hasn't activated yet and will help you if you get hit right away again before you're healed back up.

As a new L20 cleric who is just learning how to utilize this once per 5 minutes ability, my advice is, don't give it to anyone just before Shroud part 5.

Usually they do. there have been a few instances where the death pact did not work. Not sure if that was a bug, the environment (Shav) or whether or not death pact worked and then i just got slaughtered too quickly after it kicked in for it to matter. Sometimes it seems in heavy melee situations - like VoD elite or Bastion of Power that it did not work properly. Not sure what to make of it.... But I can say I have never had a problem with DI, and I do think its worth it, considering the relatively low ap cost.
