I have veteran status so I started at level 4 of course but I have been (thanks to update 7) doing all adventures on elite to start off with. I have a +1 Acid, Pure Good Greataxe and I have been just destroying things. I fairly commonly see over 60 points of damage (half of that is over 70, with a high of 77). The only adventure I did not on elite was a 2nd level noob fighter was tagging along and wanted to do kobold assault so he picked normal, do to his being dead often I killed at least 190 of the 200 myself. I was in the brawling arena last night at 5th level and almost took out a 13th level barbarian who had not been dying a whole lot, one more shot and he would have been dead, it was that close. And I did take out a few as it was who were in the teens for levels. I am totally impressed so far and look very forward to what he grows into.

My half orc is now 7th level. With the same greataxe and take kensai for my greataxes i have seen a peek damage of 103 points of damage on a singe swing. I now fairly routinely see 90+ for damages. Still fairly weak to caster stuff but my friend gave me a phiarlan mirror cloak, i think is what it's called anyway it has among other benefits a spell resist 17 for me. i also now have a new view on the high damage and that is this no matter who i face (unless its a high cr dragon or something of the like) a 103 point swing is a life changing event for the person/monster on the recieving end of it. My best 2 hit tally is even more so life changing it was 102 followed with and 83. i mean think about it in one combat round you have just been dealt 185 points of damage and here is some food for though i dominate basically everytime i step foot into a dungeon and i keep forgetting to use haste boost attack and cleave just imagine the horror i would release if i could use them instead of forgetting them

Word:) I've been reading though that cleave actually lowers dps and should never be used. That's a point ppl are welcome to correct me on, if i'm wrong;)

If you are hitting one target it's terrible for your DPS output - against five, it's one of the best things a melee class can do.

DING. One of the things that drives me mildly nuts is when folks talk DPS they are almost always meaning against a single target. Mind, I somewhat understand the mindset since in a boss fight it will often be a single target and there are lots of other single targets out there in quests. But there are also many, many times when you won't just be fighting one thing and stuff like cleave comes into its own then.

Mass Hold Monster + Cleave/Great Cleave = good times.

Mass Hold + Supreme Cleave = great times.

Can i get a dreamspitter on top of that too? my goto weapon for held mobs. hearing that level drain sound is almost as pleasing as hearing my blades cut through flesh

He destroys things. Carnifex until ~10. I would do ~50 on hits and 150 on anything 17-20. Pretty much a 17-20 vorp. I think I have something like +45 damage with a masterwork quarterstaff. :)

Currently level 12 WC II, rocking more weapons then I can handle. Using the bloody cleaver for the 15-20 crits roll that add bodyfeeder.

I am hoping they fix the animation issues soon.

Rock on my fellow 20 base STR destroyers.

One of my favorite moments was a Coalescence Chamber run. When you drop down to the rest shrine the second time, a ton of bats falls from the ceiling and drops down.

Somebody had jumped down ahead of me. By the time I jumped, the bats were just beginning to fall. As they fell past me I thought 'what the hey' and just hit supreme cleave to see what would happen. Everyone below was literally showered in dead bats.

Cleave and especially Supreme Cleave definately have their uses.

I am not 12th level and continue to surprise myself. Went to the vale and my other toughest character before him an AA had all sorts of trouble here at 12th level. I went through and died only once at the rare Gnoll caster who is in this valley with some mephits (don't remember the name), he kept holding me with spells and using blade barrier at the same time. Made it through everything else with not much in the way of problems. Also have competed the shadow line of necropolis on hard and the surprise for me there is that myself and 3 others of our guild have died repeatedly on that quest line in the past and on hard I did not die once. I have hit a high single swing of 265. I generally don't keep track of the kill totals anymore during adventures. The only time I did at all was another member of our guild who is a 15th level fighter had me along a quest not to long back (I was 10th level at the time) and I had around 30 more kills than he did. My motto is if I can kill it quicker then it can't touch the softer members of the group. Also in closing that other fighter pointed me in the direction of kensai and thank you sir I love it. I kensai'd my greataxe and now have the Strength boost, and yes, yes, yes woohoo it stacks so I have a 32 to start and without any boosts other than the kensai it goes to 40(no guild ship buffs or other buffs from other people. There is just something therapeutic about mashing bad guys and that's all I have to worry about.
