Which is better?

Use Power Attack and miss 40% of the time.


Not Use Power Attack and Miss 1% of the time.


In my mind I think it is better to do a little less dmg more often than to do a bit more dmg more spreaticly.

Pls advice me

If you're missing that much, run with power attack off.

The best way to increase your miss chance is to equip a non-proficient weapon in your primary hand and a non-proficient tower shield in your off hand. Make sure you're also wearing non-proficient armor.

Not sure how you go from 40% to 1%. 1% isnt really evenin a D20 Based game like DDO.

Instead of givingup worrying about how much you miss, I would concentrate more on how to raise your attack so you dont.

DDO has literally dozens of ways to raise your attack bonus. If you are a melee oriented character, getting your attack bonus up to a point where you can effectively use Power attack is paramount.

Redo enhancements and drop the -3/+3 for the time being. When you get better geared you can add it back in. That gives you 6ap's to spend elsewhere as well.

Seem like you're using a class or race that has power attack enhancements. Using a higher "+" weapon, using rage potions, and Heroism/GH are easy ways to increase your to-hit bonus.

Few things:
- Greater heroism - by this time casters shouldn't be angry if you ask for it. There is item Planar grid -> will also help for those nasty heavy armored (1 time GH)...
- Do you have +5 weapon? If you use +1 holyburst of pure good it could be nice idea to try find something with bigger + with it. For example +5 of rightusness (+7 against everything evil)...
- Last one question. Dont be overlly angry if you don't do it, but you can meet lot of diffrent people. Do you move while swinging your weapon? it also gives you big (-4 i think) to your attack.

You need to tell us more information about your character. The thing about DDO is that if you tell us your class/level, it tells us NOTHING about your character. If you want to tell us about your character tell us which feats you used, what enhancements you have, what kind of gear you have and your stats.

Not all of this is needed for us to tell us to raise your to hit though. For that just do what others said and drops your power attack enhancements, get items like tumbeweed, spectral gloves, higher + on weapons, etc.

Two super rules that are sometimes ignored by inexperienced players who attempt to build DPS toons. If you are dead, then your DPS is a grand total of: Zero! (so you need a lot of HP to have a good DPS toon). The second rule is that if you Never hit something then your total DPS is ZERO... again. In DDO you got to be able to hit, and you got to be able to take a hit to have aDPS toon. Any Questions?
