This is my planned current TR for U7. I wanted DPS (2d6 2d8 + some crazy number), enough intimidate for most content, and survivability from decent ac, displacement dragonmark, and ninja incorporeal. My biggest quandary is whether the 4 points to get CON to 14 would be better spent on CHA for the 2 extra points of intim, or even INT for more skills (and maybe access to CE? If so, what feat should I swap). I decided to keep stats and not worry about CE.

Edit: I decided to switch to 12 monk/8 fighter. For a net loss of 1 to-hit, 1 damage, 8 hp and power surge, I get ToD (even nerfed, it still has some use), improved evasion, abundant step, better ki strikes, better saves, better AC, water walking (this is HUGE in abbot raid), and a few odds and ends. The nice thing was that I didn't have to make the decision until level 12 or so. I left the original build below in case anyone wants to compare.

Level 11 update

I have been leveling up with a couple of horc barbarians, non-TR so they stay a level or two ahead of me, but I keep up in kills. DPS is fine.

Incorporeal + Displacement + AC is insanely fun, although I'm not sure I'll have enough uses for longer or shrine-sparse quests.

Any opinions on whether it would be worthwhile to take a level of wizard for the extend feat?

Don't do it would be a waste. My pure fighter has seven displacement dragonmark clickies and that is more then enough in most quests.

Taking a level of wizard will only hurt you.
