I'm not sure what "sorry must be" means in this situation, but the servers are down for the new update.

I'm not sure what "sorry must be" means in this situation, but the servers are down for the new update.
Just a translation thing "Sorry I just had to" or "Couldn´t resist" would be more appropriate.

He´s referring to the traditional server down rants on patch/update/maintenance day.

this happens if you do a word by word translation of a foreign language (in this case, judging his name, german).

what he meant was something along the line of

it had to be said/done.

UHm the server hamster is getting old.
So they go get a new one, game will mostlikely be up again today. ( some hours later than planned ).
