If you use two weapons, do you get two sneak attacks. Or is only the first attack a sneak attack?

Also, How effective is a sneak attack with a bow?

You will get a second sneak attack if the off-hand extra attack happens (random chance depending on your feat selection).

With a bow, you need to be within a certain distance for it to happen.

As far as "what do you mean by feat"? Open up your character sheet and click on the "feats" tab. Your character sheet is one of the selections in the hot bar located in the upper left part of your screen.

when using 2 weapons there is a % chance your off hand will make an attack. if you specialise by taking the two weapon fighting feats that % chance goes up (and some very large penalties are lessened).

for ranged combat with box (cross bows and throwing weapons are excluded) you can get the manyshot feat. this lets you shoot a few arrows per volley for 20 seconds at a time. it has a 2 minute cooldown before you can use it again.

you should also be aware of improved precise shot. that lets you target a monster at the back, then hit that monster and every monster in between. sneak attacks also work for that if in range and you dont have aggro.

be very careful as its easy to get a LOT of aggro doing that. its best done with a paralysing weapon to immobilise the monsters so they cant turn you into a greasy pulp by way of thanks. paralysers are rare and expensive, you should be able to get one of the cheaper ones at lvl12-14.

every effect a weapon has alters the minimum level you have to be to use it. a pure paralyser with no other effects is a lvl10 weapon, those cost a premium. a paralyser with some less desirable features will be a higher level and also cheaper. in effect the rich vets will buy the over priced low level weapons to get the best gear as early as they can on their new character. that leaves the higher, slightly less effective items at a cheaper price for the newbies to get.

You get sneak attacks as long as the monster you hit is not aggroed on you.

With a bow it's not very effective, cause you have to be in a rather small distance from it.

but you have to be closer, with a sword.... so whats the advantage of sneak attacking with a sword?

Multishot isn't always active. You will be spending more time without it on then with it on.

yes, for 20 seconds every 2 minutes. and its 4 arrows if you have 16+ bab.

The advantage is you get to hit him a lot and get lots of sneak attack damage. Why cower in the corner when you can get into the fight? Rogues are front line melee in this game. (Well...with the exception of repeater mechanics)
