View Full Version : Major Ignore Overhaul

Greetings all,

For years, whenever I log in there are several things I end up doing within the first 30 seconds...

1) Turn off view names... this inevitably happens after I see the first few people around me with the idiot names that we are all inundated with on a daily basis.

2) Turn off the general chat channel, hopefully before I have to read "Pinkpony pokes MrTank"

Hopefully, if I am still in the mood to play the game, at this point I go to the LFM board usually to be visually assaulted by a plethora of other things that more often then not make me want to log out and go do something else.

What this usually boils down to is that it appears that there are only like 30% of the people in this game who I would ... 'like to be subjected to' for lack of better words. And taking it one step further, I really don't think I should have to be swimming in what I consider to be a sea of idiocy when I want to play a game that I enjoy.

What I would like is a major overhaul of ignore, something to the effect that I can easily add an unlimited number of characters to my list so that I can go about my business without having to be subjected to them any longer. So at least after I am offended the first time by what I consider to be insulting character names etc, at least the next time I can see 'anonomous' instead of having to see them again. This is not about being continously bothered by one individual in so much as just the masses of complete idiots that I really don't feel need to be a part of my game experience. I would like to be able to right click just about anyone and add to my ignore list and never have to be subjected to that person's stupid name or stupid chat antics again. Also in the LFM board, after the first time I see something I don't like I would like to be able to right click that person's name on the LFM board and not see their names or their LFM comments again.

Many of you might think I am being overly sensitive, but the fact is that I log into enjoy this game, not to be assailed by 'noise' coming from all directions that basically takes me out of the mood of wanting to play and makes me want to log out.
