I don't know who did this, (I assume Borror0?) but I recently came across the DDO Wiki crafting primer (http://ddowiki.com/page/Crafting).

Wow.

I sometimes find the wiki to be pretty hit-and-miss, but this section is a really top-shelf player aid. Very well laid out, very thorough, very usable, really very very good.

Thank you to whoever (Borror0?) wrote it and (Borror0 again?) maintains it. Very nice.

:)

Kudos belong to yk49 (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=26032) for creation and maintenance, with an honorable mention to UltraMonk2 (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=300808) for helping with the maintenance and formating.

Since I cannot +1 the two users directly, I randomly picked a post from each of them and +1'd the posts instead.

I didn't even read the posts; I hope I don't hate them :) :D :)

I was reading the greensteel crafting tutorial, and just had one thing I could get cleared up. The shavarath signet stone used in making blanks, does that get consumed?

Yes, so make your gs blank after you've officially flagged fully for shroud.

So to make another blank afterwards, one would have to run all the flagging quests again?

Since you need more than 5 ingredients to make the signet stone into a blank, you probably won't have to re-run most of the quests since you'll have done them more than once anyway.

At that point, it's just farming for Vale quest ingredients.

They're smart, levelheaded people. I can't think of a reason for you not to like them, other than possibly jealousy.
