Pack advice

WoW! GH just got in sale *-*
But... shall I buy it?
Actually I've never decided what to buy. I need to choose between Necro IV, Sands and GH
What's more fun? And what offers better XP and Loot? I can get only ONE pack by now
EDIT: My mains are a Sorc 19, almost 20, and I want to TR him in Wiz/Rog, and a Pal8/Rog2 TWF DPSer

Best Loot and playability..sands. GH is decent level 10-14. I personaly feel if those are your only choices I would go with Sands...just my opinion.

If GH and Sands are both on sale, get Sands. If only GH is on sale, get GH.

I have GH, but I *WISH* I had sands instead because of the Epic content.

Gianthold is probably one of the big sellers. plenty of Quests, huge explorer area, a Raid with items like Madstone Boots and Dreamspitter, Dragonscale Armor... and that in a decent level range where it is easy to find a PUG. Next to Vale of Twilight probably one of the most important packs to get.
So if it is on sale, then I wouldn't think twice to get it now. Epic is a different game after level 20, if you not already have capped Character than Sands is no better then GH. from Necro IV you usually only want to get the Minos Legend Helm, and you can get this one even by entering the Zone with a Guest Pass.

If you are a caster then get necro 4. Some of the best caster loot is from the abbot raid.

I'm going to buy necro 4 just so I can get minos legens and stop looking like a noob. I had more fun in gianthold than sands, but I did pick up a bloodstone ;).

would lean towards gianthold, while sands as the area is cool, its run far less often, quests are total ***** for new people(at least wizking to name).
both offer decent raid items/other useful equipment.

in short, i like both nowdays, but had my share of nightmare runs in some sands quests.
needing to pick between those two is like getting choice of ham vs broccoli, broccoli is good for health, but most people still pick ham :D

In the top 5 purchase any out of that order if they were on sale.

I am also considering buying GH now because of the sale...but my highest level toon is only level 5. Hoping for a sale on Delera's for halloween...but if not...may save the TP and get Tangleroot instead (I only have 1100 TP total right now). I have a pally 5, a bard 4, a barb 3 and a rogue 3/barb 1 (each on different worlds) currently, so I am debating on buying a mid/low level pack or staying with the F2P grind until able to tackle Delera, GH and Vale. Any thoughts?

It's advisable to buy adventure packs if they are on sale, but to inform you, sales usually go from 20% - 50% less. Today GH is 20% less. It is already a good deal, but if you are the patient kind, you can wait till they put it up on a bigger discount, though there is no guarantee if it will be on sale for 50%.

They usually have big sales during the holidays and special events. The regular Friday sales are usually the 20% sales.

You do not need to buy Delera's for the event. All playes from F2P to VIP will be able to fully participate. :)

With update 7, Delera's is going F2P to enter the public area so you can run around the graveyards. The quests inside Delera's will still require the adventure packs though.

From the 3 packs mentioned by the OP, I know Sands and Necro. Both are fantastic!

I can't stop before I advice 3 Barrel Cove is really true magnificient! Generally Heroes don't notice that they already finished the slayers in the wilderness! Lol.

My personal opinion is that there is no need for any of the early adventure packs. It is very easy to reach lvl 11 F2P but after that things slow down a lot. That is when you really start to need adventure packs to make leveling easier/more fun. Granted you may eventually get bored with some of the early level quests but IMHO that isn't enough of a reason to get the lower-mid level adventure packs.

I got gianthold during this sale since I have 3 characters and they're all in that level range. Plus the fact that with my main character (lvl 11 sorc) I was running out of F2P quests that granted me a lot of XP. When Vale goes on sale I'll pick up that one and I'm hoping that it's enough for my characters to get to 20.

Yes, actually I bought GH. Awesome quests, as far as I've done, PoP is just **awesome**, but I fear U7 will come with a huge sale and I regret my buy. >.<
