Very simple question, why some moves have no their own animation, like trip and sunder? When hit trip button the character just swing as normal. Kick animation should not that hard?
Or there is some special technical reason?

Judging by the fact that people don't like animations that slow down their DPS (hence, the twitch culture), I'd say people don't want it? Not sure though.

i'd say this is a very good reason
and making an animation that fits well into every part of the attack chain isn't so easy i'd assume

The point is an animation will have to cancel your attack chain .. thus become worthless. Even now it somehow seems to cripple my dps on rogue .. not sure why maybe it doesnt apply sneak attack or something. I havent really looked into it so i dunno. Just have the feeling :)

A kicking animation would not make sense for an attack that produces full damage from your sword.

Look at Cleave and Greater Cleave - has its own animation, and is not used precisely because of that, as the loss of DPS due to the broken attack chain is bigger than the gain of DPS through the cleave-effect. Not to mention that both cost you a feat to be allowed to perform them......

Why does trip have to be a kicking animation?
Say somebody is walking down the street. You are just standing there with a stick in your hands. You then stick the stick between their legs causing them to fall down. That is tripping them.
In the middle of combat, can't it be just as easy to sweep their legs out from under them with your weapon? Wouldn't that actually be more easily done in combat instead of stopping fighting with your weapon and then going down and doing a sweep with your legs?

The hilt butt attack from h-orcs would fit nicely as a stun animation.
Issues with breaking attack chain might dictate otherwise though.
