New Monk Ki weapons.

Ok number crunchers/build masters....I personally cant think of anything so I figured I'd throw it to you guys....any way to exploit this? Have Fun :D

- Zen Archery now allows Shortbows and Longbows to be treated as monk ki weapons.
- Zen Archery is now considered a Monk Bonus Feat.

Zen Archery as a bonus monk feat is a trap.
For Zen Archery to even be considered as a feat choice, one must dump dex.
Monks don't dump dex.
Zen Archery is a waste of a feat.

Not to mention that using a bow.... as a monk.... is an especially poor choice in and of itself.

Yeah I figured...but I don't really understand monks so I thought id let others take a shot at it

Zen Archery (same as WSS) is not for Monks. It's for /monk. So you can stay centered and keep monks stance (fire for STR, wind for DEX). Its for Exploiter type builds.

to be more specific it is for fvs/monks and cleric/monks that have 0 dex and super high wis and use the longbow faith thingy and wanna hit stuff endgame while they aren't healing/nuking. it is not for exploiters or any str/dex users.

If it allowed one to build up Ki from ranged hits / and bust out light monk combos with a bow in hand...

I would see an appeal to it.

Clonks and Favonks usually splash Monk for Evasion and need a decent Reflex to take advantage of it. If they don't care about Evasion then they may be best able to make use of Zen Archery.

eh , zen archery isn't so bad. if you run a dex/wis stunner build you'll have plenty of wis to hit. A long bow would be a nice upgrade from a throwing star for those times when you want/need to range.

Worth a feat? eh, probably not. but then again we aren't exactly feat starved for something like say a human dex/wis stunning build yeah its better than a 3rd toughness but for a non human str/con fire/dark build trying to squeeze in a past life feat then no way is it worth it.
