Hay peps-

A few weeks ago I was getting ready for a 2 week work trip - I cleaned packbacks, etc and had a bunch of stuff I ended up putting up on the AH. The work didn't go as well as planned - my trip was extended and was gone just over 4 weeks. Finnally got back - logged in and - no mail at all...

The items or coin from the AH was in my mail box too long and got deleted - bumper :(

I can see that the F2P have mail limits, but I would like to see something different for VIPS (I am one)... as long as I am paying my $$$ I would hope they could keep some mail (maybe 40 items or something) as long as I kept paying...

Thoughs?

Sorry to say, but mail will be stolen by postmans after 3 weeks since delivery, or after 5 days since first time it was opened. This limit applies to F2P, P2P and V.I.P.
I don't know about max number of messages in mail-box.
If you're going to a long trip, you can always get a laptop, to avoid losing mails or skipping raids. And, of course, to use it for non DDO things (personally I hate traveling in mass transport, so I always play on laptop or phone, or something like this).

I wouldn't argue against extending the limits, but I don't think they are unreasonable either.

I know if I'm going to be gone for a while I clear the mail and make sure all auctions will end before my last day.

I agree I should have known better...

I wanted to share my tale (and warn others) as well as suggest a very nice perk they could add for VIPs

It seems like a great idea, within certain limits. I'd say unlimited storage time for those who both keep paying up until they log in the account (to keep it from becoming a 40 item storage bin) then the timer starts. It would seem, if that gave even a few players a reason to keep their sub up on an otherwise inactive account, it would have a positive effect on Turbines bottom line.
