View Full Version : Useful Half-elf?

As they are now, Half-elves are less desirable than other races. This might change once their Enhancement lines for the diletante feats are fleshed out(I hope). Despite this I tried to make a build using them and taking advantage of the useful features they have... er useful feature they have: 2 different Intimidate timers. Why not use the fully fleshed out Shintao Pre also?

Half-Elf 18 Monk/2 Paladin(or Fighter or Rogue if you wish) 34pt.

-2 Paladin levels for Intimidate as a class skill, Divine Grace, Wand whipping
-18 monk for Shintao 3 and all other Monk goodies.
*Dilettante Feat: Sorc/Wiz for shield, stoneskin wands--you can initially start with any of the dilettante feats you qualify for, but switch out as soon as you munch a +2 supreme ability tome.

Stats:
Str: 15(32)+5 level +2tome +6item +4stance
Dex: 15 (24) 2+tome +6item +1enhancement
Con: 14 (22) 2+tome +6item
Int: 11 (13) +2 tome
wis: 13 (22) +2 tome +6 item +3enhancement -2stance

Go Human, scrap Half-elf.
Problem solved. ;)

I agree it would work better as a human, but the purpose was to use Half-Elf.

Since Dilettante feats have to be taken at 1st lvl and tomes don't apply retroactively to lvl 1 (not even if you LR / GR), I don't think this would work. Be interested in seeing someone test that to be sure, though.

Ya, have to wait for it to go live, since you can't switch them currently on Lamania
