From talking with other players in the game I know Im not alone here but still felt the need to post. If I added all my solo hours spent killing epic mobs for scrolls..Ive probably wasted weeks of my life. As sad as this is true...I have noticed a disturbing pattern to the drops of said scrolls. There are maybe 7-8 truly epic items outta the sands in my opinion anyhow...out of say 150+ scrolls (estimated) maybe 5% of these are what most players are lookin for. If I drop another flint, stinkpelts hide or staff of innersight Im gonna vomit. I honestly believe theres more to the random 1% drop than turbine lets on. I think its fixed like a dirty casino. Ok Im done ....for now

Yes, around 1 in 20 or 1 in 25 epic scrolls in desert are raid scrolls.

Note that some desirable scrolls (eg spectrals) aren't raid, so they have the higher droprate.

This seems true in other zones as well, as in Phiarlan carnival the weapons seem to have a lower droprate than the others (i tend to get 4-5 of each of the others for every set of 1 for the weapons). There seems to be two tiers of epic scroll rarity.

Note that turbine never told us that it was a 1% droprate in general; that was also divined by the players.

Stinkpelt's Hide is the desert scroll that I cannot escape from; the loot mechanics that are currently in place are the worst thing about epic questing IMO.

It's a 1 in 100 drop rate for non-raid desert item scrolls, and a 1 in ~3000 rate for raid items. Those raid item scrolls are exceptionally rare and valuable. Probably too rare, I agree.

This might be why the Devs dont have any epic items themselves.

it not insinuating that they are cheating, its yelling it from the highest rooftop. we all know this to be true for some time now. if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its turbine!

Its just gotten tiresome, you can dedicate hours and hours and hours and days at killing for them and get the same crappy scroll 5 times in a row. So when word is out some lucky lotto winner dropped a nice raid item scroll it becomes..."What do you want for that scroll? I can either sacrifice my firstborn in your name or chop off a limb of your choice...if thats not enough you can have Russia if you want.
