I have created a 32 point true neutral WF bard (dahh on G) and in the last couple of weeks got him up to a 10B/2F, so far I am loving this toon...very soloable at level and getting easier as my UMD gets up, but I am able to support the party thru buffs/raises and help with the DPS.
I have 2 levels banked (or really close to it) and haven't quite decided whether I want to go 16B/4F or 16B/2F/2Barb (even rogue but i figure its too late for that).
The starting stats were:
18 Str plus a +2 tome
8 Dex plus a +2 tome
16 Con plus a +2 tome
12 Int plus a +2 tome
6 Wis plus a +2 tome
12 Cha plus a +2 tome
level ups are in strength so far.
Feats taken:
Extend Spell
IC: Slashing
PA
PC
Toughness
THF
WF: Slashing
I plan on taking ITHF when it comes up to my next selection.
I know a few out there have a lot of exp with WF bards and would like you advise.
Any specific end game bard gear i should be aiming for? Greensteel suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Dahh in G + a bunch of others in G

Well i have a 16bard/ 2figth/ 2 barb and loving it!
16 bard = max songs, level 6 spells (mass cure, and the very usefull irresistabvle dance (can't epic w/o))
2 figth = 2 feats, +2 BaB, haste boost, and +1 STR enchanc
2 barb = rage, sprint, PA enhanc, +1 CON enhanc
Mine's dwarf, 32 points build, sitting at 32 STR, 28 CON, 507 HP (with GS item) and hit like a freaking truck!
With only my buffs and a +5 GS great axe damage is : 3d6+ 48!!! on a bard, ouch... add haste, boost, rage and see the numbers rolls...
Depend on your style, but if you like barbarian vibe... go this route

If "PC" stands for "Power Critical," swap it for something else.
Personally I would stick with bard 18 / ftr 2 and hope WC III gets added someday. But take a look at Genghis Khan (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=242633) if you think a barb 2 splash appeals to you.

Mine is capped at Fighter 2/Barb 18
Thing is, the AC song (Heroics) at 15 is pretty nice.
Breakpoints for bard are:
12 - 2nd Tier PRCs
14 - Inspire Courage ... next to top rank, if a warchanter you'll be basically as good here as a full bard 20
15 - Inspire Heroics ...AC/Saves
18 - Mass Suggestion Song ... perform DC
Now, some other things. The more "bard" you have, the better your spell penetration will be and thus your chances of landing Ottos (which you get at 16). I really wouldn't suggest a 16/4 split ... Stop at 14 or go to 18.
14 Will provide more personal DPS.
18 Will provide some CC (wicked DC on fascinate and suggest, no save on Otto's) and the raid-tank buffing song.

That was kind of the build I was looking for.

Yep PC stands for Power Critical...and I was thinking of swapping it out.

The reason I would go for Fighter 4 would be for the extra feat at lvl 4 and additional enhancements (fighter haste, flanking 1), and the 16 in bard gives me access to 2 spells at lvl 6
As for spell DC's, I not sure how often the CC spells would land other then ottos dance which is just based on SR and has no save. Fascinate works amazingly with a DC now in the high 40's/low 50's.
Thank's for everyone's incite...will definately look at the "Genghis Khan" build
