Getting:

fatal execution engine error (0x7924c982)

and

failed to load resources from resource file

when loading game the last few weeks.

As always, ZERO HELP from tech support.

For those who get this error, the fix is to uninstall net framework 1.1, then install net framework 1.1 and sp1.

reboot pc, and that's the solution (for me, at least)
