barbarian gear at level 20

okay so this is my first life as a human barbarian
im almost at level 20 and not sure what gear i should wear at level 20, and what i need to true res
this is what im going for so far
helm: minos legens
necklace: (not sure)
goggles: tharnes goggles
chest: +5 mithral platebody
rings: (tod rings? not sure which)
cloak: greensteel cloak (lightning strike, +45hp)
gloves: spectral gloves
trinket: bloodstone
weapon: mineral 2 acid blast acid burst holy
belt: +6 con
bracers: +6 strength
i think thats all =P
(tell me if i forgot something)
if anyone knows what i shud wear on my necklace and rings please say

EDIT: oh right forgot dragontouched on armor, anyone know what dragontouched?

Shinto set and Frenzy set for neck/belt and 2 rings
Replace those bracers with leviks
Get DT armor

That should get you to basic level 20 gear. Then you can start working tword the really nice stuff.

Also a barb would benefit more from the epic claw set than epic spectral gloves from a dps standpoint.

Silver flame trinket works nice for necklace slot..... or if you want, a GS item too can go there

Replace those bracers with leviks
Get DT armor

That should get you to basic level 20 gear. Then you can start working tword the really nice stuff.

bracers: Epic Bracers of the Claw / Levik's Bracers / Glacier Bracers (Fire shield cold version proc is GREAT for any Melee)

Reply in Red. This is the current end game items to get (besides the epic bracers of the claw which are currently not craftable).

Most of these items are a pain to acquire, so enjoy the grind! :)

agreed with all felt goggles, my lvl 20 barb uses tharnes goggles statically because if they don't have displacement/blur, then it gives you +5 to hit and +8 to damage if you flank or don't have agro.

I would use gs gloves as the alternative, when does a barb need that much dex?

as for the DT I would use incite +10%, corrosive salt guard, and disintegrate guard

Yes, Tharne's Goggles are a good item to have on most of the time. If you are main tanking, they become less than stellar. Greensteel goggles would be a situational hotswap item depending on what you are trying to do.

Greensteel gloves are an ok alternate, but once you get the Epic Gloves of the Claw they become almost obsolete. As for Spectral Gloves, the reason most people use them is for the Ethereal and +2 to hit (important for epic to a certain degree), but again, they become a situational item once you acquire the Epic Claw Gloves.

As for dex. More dex = more reflex which = less cometfall failures

The Beauty of Dragontouched is you can have multiple pairs for every situation. I didn't bother going into detail, because it's not too hard to decide what's useful and what's not by browsing the forums for some time. I suppose I can list a few:

Heavy Fort (Situational depending on what gear you have)
+5 Resistance
healing amp 10%
Corrosive Salt Guard
Magma Surge Guard
Crushing Wave Guard
Exceptional Stat +1 (Depends if this puts you at an even number obviously)
Healing amp 20% (Doesn't stack with Levik's Bracers)
Disintegrate Guard
Earthgrab Guard
Freezing Ice Guard
Destruction (Fantastic for Epic Questing)

These are a few of the outstanding ones.

I would like to add...

Finger Necklace is nice if you lack an Amrath Set necklace.

Barb's can never go wrong with healing amp.

Firestorm greaves are nice for certain fights.

with +10% healing amp/+20% healing amp/guard
or +10%healing amp/guard/guard
or both ;)

Dt armour is quite nice.

Mine is a +5 resists, +20 healing Amp, and destruction.

A good thing is that because you can make multiple sets, you can be prepared for multiple situations

Now that the runes are identifyable, this will make it much more awesome.

Yes, I did forget the finger necklace and firestorm greaves. They are great items to have when you need more hjealing and less fireball damage to the face. The Ring of Djinn is a nice one to avoid electricity damage as well.

The New epic trinket is a very nice item. It would allow you to get the raven set and claw set at the same time while wearing the epic spectral gloves for a total of +8 to hit and +4 to damage if the situation called for it. Other than that, I don't see the appeal to a melee character since there are only 2 useful set bonuses for a barbarian. I'm sure when the mod hits and all the items epic'd I will eat my own words, but meh. My reply was for this mod except for the epic bracers :(. Considering the next module is only a month or 2 away (supposedly), don't take the set items I mention too seriously. Everything can change suddenly with the realease of new, better, more superior items.

yea, also next mod is comin out with sets that give +3 profane str bonus, but I don't see much use in them because they are specced for everything and you need 3 for a partial set and 5 for a full set
