Hey all,

I have a couple of questions regarding blobs now that I reached it.

As sson as you manage your first light green blob the rep needed to get your next goes up from 200 from 100. After you get to 1500 and get your 11th the ability to neg rep appears.

Right, that's what we already know.

Now, there're several titles you can see if you hover over someone's greenies and those with 11 always start with commended.

My first question is out of honoured, hero of the people, consecrated and champion of stormreach I've seen so far, in what order do they follow commended and what rep points do you need to gain them?

I'm pretty sure champion of stormreach is highest gained so far and the likes of Memnir and Lorien are the only ones I've seen. Is there anything beyond that when you pass 30k or is that it?

Second question is from a thought I had writing my orange sig about the removal of inappropriate neg rep. If the same member is constantly coming up in requests to remove neg rep that was incorrectly given out is there any kind of infraction-like action action taken against that person? Something like that may go a long way towards alleviating some of the posts made about unhappy posters gaining neg rep they thought wasn't right.

Thanks for reaching this point....

Any thoughts

The points needed for each of the titles are given here:

Thanks go to Borror0 for giving some of the data used.

Edit: By the way, I know that if you get neg rep that you feel is undeserved (i.e. it wasn't rude or harassing etc.), then you can PM Tolero/Tarrant to get it removed if you say why it wasn't deserved. However, I have no idea if they keep track of who's doing all the undeserved neg repping that they keep having to remove. Generally I don't even use the neg rep function, usually if it's something that bad it's something I just report directly. I guess the criteria that I use for giving neg rep is "willfully wrong or misleading or overly argumentative without giving supporting arguments" or something etc., but in those cases usually I just post to that effect.

Folks are actually concerned about a system that is commonly exploited among friends?

That's a good one.

Thanks for that, any idea on the second question about consequences of continuously giving undeserved neg rep?

None it seems, which is why you'll often see people using neg rep when someone has a view they don't agree with or when someone says something they don't like (I once got a neg for saying that another poster's comment may draw negative rep, that one genuinely confused me).

Given the way the rep system works they are well within their rights to do so.

I try not to have anything to do with rep but in celebration of you milestone I'm going to rep everyone that has posted so far (that's my way of abusing the system).
